Remarks
I love the college. There is no negetive remark but some teachers don't attain the classes as written on the routin. Classes may start at a delay. For that reason the time we get in a semester before exams is less than expected.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is pretty interesting and knowledgeable. It will help you to relate the real world problems with what you study. The curriculum is CBCS or Choice Based Credit System. So here we study as per the semester based system. 6 month a semester. Each semester ends with an end-sem examination. If you become unsuccessful passing any of the subject in an end-sem exam then the re-examination will must be given in the semester after the next sem. It's called suppli clearance. The odd semester supplies caj be cleared in odd semester only and so for the even semester as well. At the end of each sem SGPA is calculated and there is total 6 semester through out the 3 year course. At the end of the 3 year the CGPA is calculated.
Placement Experience
Our college has a placement cell but doesn't give internship. Placement is pretty well and better than any of the other colleges under calcutta University. Though the no. Of students getting jobs is not huge but it all depends on your performance.
College Events
List of the events celebrated in the college can be found in the website of our college www. asutoshcollege. in. There are winter festivals, sports events, the famous union event named "udaan", and etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college fees is a bit expensive but not so much expensive. It varries over the course you choose. According to the student's economical background concession can be made by college. For that you have to present reliable documents to the college principal.
Fees and Financial Aid
The one scholarship that i availed was the swami Vivekananda scholarship. college helps you with this. One of my friend availed a scholarship i don't know the name of. So yes your college will help you in this matter.
Campus Life
Sports are organized by college union. Labs are a bit old fashioned and are not maintained but they are always trying to give you the facility you need. college sports are organized every year and everyone can participate in the selection process.
Alumni/Alumna
In my department the seniors are more of our friends. They help us with books, notes, suggestions or anything you need right on. They say what to study and what to not. They help you which teacher can help you with a particular subject.
Admission
college grade is NAAC A, experienced faculties, and renowned fame made me choose this college. I was ranked 22 in the merit list published by the college. The merit list was created on the short listing of candidates according to their H. S. marksheet.
Faculty
They are much more interactive, experienced and versatile. They are always there for you if you need them. They can teach more than one specialised subject. They can help you understand the course structure, the study curriculum or even the way should study the corresponding semester.
