A very good college amid todays ever changing education system

Negative things are college needs to increase its infrastructure although according to the current population of college. Positive things -this is the best 4 years of our life. A very good campus life. Main difference is the exemption of attendance policy in the college unlike any college in India which helps our college stand apart from others. This helps in exploring vast areas of studies

The current curriculum of computer science curriculum is excellent with the state of the computer laboratories and experienced professors. The curriculum contains many compulsory disciplines and huge number of discipline electives on condition of minimum number of credits per semester.

Our college provides two compulsory internships on their own. The placement of the college is a bit diverse with some branches of engineering securing high placements and some significantly low while comparing to other. The college has an average placement of 11 lakh per annnum. The second internship is a huge opportunity to get pre placement offer and significant stipend and good experience among many other things

There is ATMOS -the techno managment fest. And PEARL the cultural fest. ARENA the sports fest VERBA-MAXIMUS the literary fest. And many more. The atmos and arena are huge to be well noticed on newspapers and an average footfall of 4000 members.

The degree is comprised of 8 semesters. With each semester costing around 1, 70, 000 INR +-10, 000 excluding the hostel and mess fee. An additional 50, 000 is expected to cost during internship. The college can be considered a little expensive when compared to other colleges but is the quality too

The college has a bank inside the campus which offers a loan upto 20, 00, 000 without any security bonds with a low rate of intrest compared to other banks outside. The college has 3 scholarship schemes 1. MERIT scholarship-the college gives scholarship to anyone having a good Cumulative GPA and well behavior. 2. MERIT CUM NEED scholarship-The college provides the scholarship to students whose parents annual income is less than certain figure and having good cap. Student Aid fund-is given to poor students who can't bear the fee are having social problems.

The gender ratio can be considered below normal largely due to little expansiveness of college. Every fest an after party and many more cultural parties during the semester. The college is the most diverse place I have seen in my life. You can at least find one person from different states of India. The topic of religion is mostly avoided but people are free to practice any religion they want. The topic of inequality is never once raised such is the environment the place offers. The economic status is bit diverse with many hailing from middle class.

The hostel here is one the best hostels in the whole Hyderabad city. Every student is given a separate room from the start of second year of graduation. The hostels are well equipped with wifi, lan and hot water and good sanitation. There are common rooms for student with TV and indoor sports like table tennis and fuse ball, carrom etc.

The seniors are very helpful and the alumni network is very great but still needs improvement though. Many successful alumni were called and are asked share ideas and opportunities. Some of the finest people now working in the industry are practically graduated In front of our eyes. The college also has a alumni organization called BITSAA.

I applied for the merit exam for joining college as every student. Scored some good marks that are enough to get in to COMPUTER science in the process of merit. I was good at math and computers and had an inclination towards computer science from the very beginning.

The faculty are very helpful and welcoming in the field of teaching and encouraging new ideas. They are very experienced people with many of them having patents and articles under them. Some of the faculty are graduates of world's top universities and are researchers.
