Ashish's Review On IMS Engineering College - [IMSEC], Ghaziabad

Personally I would like to say that college faculties are totally supportive and they always help us if we stuck in any educational problems but management is not so supportive. You would not get quick response from management if you looking for any help.

I took UPSEE entrance examination. I got 17561 rank in UPSEE. It was my dream to be an engineer that's why choose b.tech.I got the college through counselling process.

There is lot of scope in b.tech if you are pursuing it from good college. After completing b.tech one's have lots of choice to go in research field as well as administrative services. Course curriculum is very good even a b.tech students study other subject like economics, management and all that.

My internship experience was good .Actuall I did internship from outside of my college because I am from eee branch student and for core branches no any company which comes in. My college for internship except cs branch. In cs branch lots of company comes for internship like Netcamp,Indian testing board etc .I did my internship at Airport Authority of INDIA Varanasi and it was all about how communication channel, radar and traffic control sytem work for aeroplanes.

In last there were 350 students who placed in various companies like tcs, IBM,jk infotech,Thyson elevator company,Jyoti electrical,Ashirwad carbon company,INDUSIND bank,QA infotech and technosoft. TCS is mass recruiter in our college.Core company like THYSON ELAVATOR recruited 17 students from eee branch.Last year average package of company was almost 3.5 to 5 lakhs.

College conducts various technical fest like ennoware, Enflare, Envicible as well as cultural fest like diwali night, tarang. In every semester college college conducts sports fest CHAKRAVHUYA which is organized at NATIONAL LEVEL.Various college from different state participate in this.

As far as I know scholarship is provided by up government for those students whose financial conditions are not good.Loans can be taken from banks and banks would pay your fees. After 6 months later of your completing b.tech bank would start taking money back at their norms.

You would really enjoyed your college life if you have group of friends but if you are isolated person then you wouldn't.so basically campus life is good.Gender ratio totally depends upon branches if you are from cs,it branch then ratio would be 2:1 and if you comes from core branches like me,eee,ce then it would be 3:1. Sometimes college organized extracurricular activities like robotics presentation,group discussion,seminar etc.college as well as individual department organized various workshops related to social issue,blood donations to create awareness in students.I think there is no discrimination in students as well as college staff about racism,religion,sexuality,politically or economically.Everyone is same in college campus whether whatever in real life they are.

The hostels are average in terms of infrastructure . There are 3 seater, 2seater as well as single seater room in hostel. If someone want air conditions room that it can be allotted but price are higher than normal rates. Mess food are so -so. You would l

I think due to ragging restrictions there is not much more interactions among seniors and jouniors.Personally I feel we have not interacted with our seniors at starting but slowly -slowly we began to interacted more to seniors. Actually I am final year student and still we are in touch with our alumani. When I got admission in college then I had not good perception about seniors just because of lot of news I had heard about seniors ragging but when I met them, talked them my perception was totally changed some days later.

Faculty are really good. They are well qualified and have lot of experience.There are some faculty who passout from IIT ,nit and other top colleges teaching in ims.
