Remarks
The college is quiet attractive to the fresher's cause of the mountain view and well-maintained entrance of the college. But when it comes to faculty part it is very disappointing. They say it to be world class established one but actually not. Finally, I have to say that it is totally not worth of it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is outdated.They ore not updated.But still,many courses are useless and time wasting.The college should start updating the courses and mainly start teaching new programming languages like python,Ruby,Rust etc.Exams are with two periodical test of 50 marks each and quiz are three with 10 marks each totally accounting for 50 marks as well as a final exam for 100 marks which gets reduced to 50 marks totalling for 100 marks their is also internal as well as external assesment for lab
Fee Structure And Facilities
At present Btech fee structure has changed from my admission.Per year 4 lakhs is being charged as tuition fee now in Amrithapuri campus.A caution deposit of 10000 which will be refunded gas to paid at the time of joining.Hostel & mess fees includes 70000 per year, and 5000 caution deposit.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholership to the toppers and economically weaker students.The union also has some activities regarding the scholership of the student, there are many loans that are available at deduction in tax.But i haven't availed any.
Campus Life
It completely depends technical and non technical clubs Technical clubs : It depends on the stream you are studying for computer science-foss icpc,cyber security For Ece-hut labs, robotics for mechanical- Baja, Supra, Robotics Non technical clubs : It completely depends on your interest For singing : samskriti For dance : college team For Service : ABC, Ayudh You may get a question' why you should join them' The nature of amrita university student is not only studies, its a mix of studies, service your skills
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are average as per my hostel friends,i do no stay there,so i don't have much idea about it.The mess food,obviously,no one likes it.The rooms are shared by 4,and they have bunk beds,hostel fee is around 70K,most of that is for food.The rooms are not that big though.
Alumni/Alumna
No,I didn't have nay interaction with Alumni yet,maybe because I m just in first Sem.Mostly it will be there during next semester.But what my friends tell "Good there is an excellent alumini network they are very good at helping others in searching for jobs.They form a website and updated each every step and details of student what are they gonna do now or later."
Admission
First I wrote my 12 boards and started preparing for my mains and other entrance exam.Where AEEE was one of the exam I wrote.I good some good marks when compared with others.So I selected the college and was confident of joining the college. I choose CSE because this course had good placement and love programming.I have to go through councelling process and got my preferred course.
Faculty
There are 120 plus faculties,most of them holding PhDs in various subjects.The teachers here are really good,they care about the students learning and are very helpful.They make sure that every students understands the point/topic.
