My MID Review

I did my masters from the Management Institute of Durgapur, the Varanasi campus and the level of insight I got from the college was impeccable. It made me capable enough to successfully start and run my business. I would definitely recommend my college for the sole reason of its precious academics and the supportive faculty. Though the campus life and extracurricular activities are also refreshing and memorable.

Our college organizes the placement for students mainly through campus placements. The college had record placement during our senior batch and they are constantly improving ever since. Since I am still in my final year, I am yet to sit for the placement process. But many well-reputed companies like Alembic, CTS, Genpact, IBM, Infosys, JK Technosoft, and many other companies visit our campus for the placement process. Average packages range from 3-4 LPA.

I paid around INR 1.4 lacs for one year as my MBA fee and in total, our total course fee was around INR 2.7 lacs. The fee structure is affordable and on top of that, I got a scholarship from Maulana Abul Kalam Azaad, University which helped me financially and helped me become independent before even completion of my course. The college provides pretty decent amenities to the students both on-campus and for the students in the hostel.

Scholarships are also provided by our college to the meritorious students or students from financially challenged backgrounds. Students belonging to the reserved category or any backward class can also avail scholarship options offered by the state university. Scholarships are offered by the West Bengal state government as well as the Maulana University. One of my classmates who scored merit in the first semester availed one of these scholarships.

College provides a perfect atmosphere with a blend of informative learning and a fun atmosphere. The college might have many drawbacks, but we had many memorable moments in college. The infrastructure was awesome, with a state of the art library, computer labs, seminar rooms, etc.

Hostel facilities were also provided by the college. The hostel rooms were spacious and had a homely feeling. The mess food was pretty good and hygienic. Both veg and non-veg food are served there. I made many memorable memories in the hostel itself. Especially the late-night study groups and the pranks pulled on fellow batchmates. All in all, the hostel life was lit.

The college maintains a strong relationship with the alumni of the college. MID alumni currently employed across the globe helps in creating a holistic networking platform for the students. They help the college in arranging placement drives and often visit to share their personal journey to motivate students. Students also get a chance of interacting with them during their campus visit, where they can interact and get an insight into life after the completion of their course.

My admission to the college was done on the basis of merit in graduation. The administration was pretty friendly throughout the counseling process. I am glad that I got into college since it was the best MBA college, which was closest to my house. My brother has done his graduation from here, and he also spoke highly of the college.

The faculty was pretty friendly during class and after class. They were pretty flexible with the assignments and often levy the deadlines. Their extensive experience was also reflected in their teaching, which was a bonus for us. They were very helpful and supportive throughout our course. They would constantly push us towards pursuing entrepreneurship.
