Remarks
Positive is placements, vicinity to delhi/ncr, Good crowd, lush green campus and central library. Negative would be poor academics, dilapidated labs, faculties, expensive fooding and lodging, higer tution fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since this college is AICTE approved one so course curriculum is standard one. Syllabus prescribed by Uttar Pradesh Technical University runs here. Exam structured is designed by UPTU only and the same is followed here also.
Placement Experience
The one thing which i liked about this college is the placement opportunities. It is excellent here and is in abundance. I had 3 offers from big MNCs while leaving the college. There is no college sponsored internship program. It is entirely student's lookout. Average package offered during my time was 3. 5lacs.
College Events
Tech fests and cultural fest are celebrated here on very large scale. Lot of celebrities from Bollywood/Hollywood are called here. I remeber Santana came in one of the fests. Every now and then there is some kind of activies keep going on in the campus. G-quasar is the name of tech fest which helds once in a year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I would say it is on the higher side among its peer colleges. Tution fees for me in 2016 was Rs. 1. 20 lacs per year. Fooding and lodging costs additional Rs. 70k -80k. I don't think it is feasible for a middle class family so most of the student go for education loan.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship program from college management but yes all the government running scholarships are applicable here. Since fees is on the higher side so most of the students take loan and i believe it is easily available.
Campus Life
I would say extra curricular activies are given more importance than academics here. Gender ratio is fair but it all depends upon the department. Like it is fair in computer science/IT engineering department but not good at core industry branches(male fraternities are in majority). Labs are only for namesake not state-of-the art facilities. Cultural and tech fests are organised on very massive scale, It would not be wrong to say one od the best tech fests of North India. Majority of crowd is from Delhi/NCR.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I took hostel in the first year. I would say my experience was pathetic as the hostel infra was very very bad. Mess was very unhygienic and food quality was worse. Hostel Rooms are normal with 2, 3 and 4 sharing options available. Limited seats are there so most of the students take outside accommodation. In campus hostel has a namsake wifi which never works. I was paying Rs. 75k for a year which includes fooding and a 3 sharing room.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they have almaconnect app and it is helpful. I am also part of it. Alumni members present there post vacancies/job openings in their respective oraganisation in the app. I personally have never connected with anyone of them through the app but I know people who have benefited from it.
Admission
While searching for colleges after the rank list is out I found this one having great placement records. Moreover it was in vicinity to Noida/Delhi. I was looking for EEE branch which was rare at that time, so i found this college which had this branch and placement records were also very attractive. There is no provision for college sponsored internships. Student has to look on their own for interships. In placements college management helps a lot.
Faculty
I would say faculties are good but not best. Students who have done M. tech are eligible for teaching here. Motivation for research is very less, rote learning is given more priority here. Head of Departments are the ones who mah have Phd. s but remaining faculties are generally post graduates only.
