Remarks
It is good for education and learning purposes. The hospital is quite bust so we get a wide range of exposure to different types of patients for better learning. Just that there isn't much of extra curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is hard and the exam is taken by the university which requires atleast 50 percentage marks to pass the respective subject. There are a total of 19 subjects that are covered over the span of four and a half years.
Placement Experience
There's no placement as such in MBBS because nobody comes to hire doctors. There is a one year internship course after completing the MBBS degree which is compulsory for all students in order to be able to give the All India Post Graduate NEET examination.
College Events
The Republic day on 26th january is celebrated at college gate and flag is hoisted. Then comes the sports day and cultural days where students enjoy executive day, traditional day, chocolate day, group day, etc. Then comes an annual day in october and grand navratri celebrations during the festive season.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible for normal students - 3 lakhs per annum and most of them get scholarship on providing the required documents since it is a government aided college. For NRI students its almost 14 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes the college does provide scholarships to the economically backward students (except the NRI students). These students need to submit the pre-requisite documents of their parents' income and then can get MYSY scholarship.
Campus Life
There is a sports ground in front of the hostel buildings which is accessible to all students of the college. There's a basketball and badminton court in the college building. The gender ratio is almost equal.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I live in the hostel provided by colle since it is in the same campus so there is ease of accessibility. The rooms are a little small for 2 people to accommodate. But in final year you get a separate room and i think that is quite sufficient.
Admission
You have to give the All India Pre Medical Test and then there is a merit list, according to which there are counselling sessions and you get to choose what college you want according to the marks. There are 3 counselling sessions
Faculty
The faculty is well qualified. Many HoDs have a PhD degree and all the teachers have a masters degree in their respective subject. They are very punctual and dedicated to their work. Good staff too. The college timing is 9am-5pm
