Chemical Engineer

No negative remarks for my college, postive remarks are already stated above in the column, infrastructure is really very good and the college culture is very good there i VGEC alumni association (VAA) which creates a bond between present students which are studying and the alumni whcih left the college.

I love the course which i selected, and i am pretty much satisfied about the selection of my course, because i loved to work in the plant areas and love to operate the plant(company) while taking a lot of responsibility on the hand. Exam structure are as per the semester system, and now the exam pattern has changed they are conducting cycle test which are on monthly basis.

Placement and job opportunities are good in the campus from now onwards previously it was not upto the mark because of management system, but now it's good when i was studying suez water technologies came which provided package of ?425000/annum, and presently 2 big MNCs came named RIL And Nayara Energy which gave the package of ?750000/annum and ?550000/annum.

GTU Central Tech Fests are contucted in our college, which is a Central level techfest for the university, and additionally our Department also host a techfest named as ChemoConflunce which is an event of chemical engineers.

It is government college. So the fee structure varies as per the government rules. But the fees are nominal as compare to private colleges, semester fees is ?2000/max. And exam fees per semester is max to max ?1000/end semester exam.

Yes college gives scholarship to the students which falls in the category. I was not in that category so i dont have any idea about it, scholarship are mainly given to OBC and SC&ST, General students gets the scholarship from MYSY.

Extracurricular activities which are ongoing and will be continued are NCC, Tree plantation, sports week, all indoor games such as badminton, carrom, chess,etc are in the campus itself for the students. And outdoor includes football, cricket, running, volleyball, basketball, etc. Are there in the college for the students.

This is government college, so it also has the government hostel, for admission there is merit system, and hostel fees for six months is ?1000/semester. And hostel rooms are sharing (3person/room) with seperate beds, study table, chair, cupboard.

Yes the alumni and seniors both are helpful to us they help us as we are there elders siblings, and they also guide us to how to tackle the tough subject and sometimes seats with us and guide us if we really don't get understand in the classroom, or practical.

I got admission in my college as per the Merit list of ACPC. This field was the only which i was interested to do engineering, but if i would have to choose other coure then i could have been chosen the IT, COMPUTER Field because of the majority of girls are there in that field.

All the facilities are good, cooperative, helpful, supporting and guiding all the time when you need them. From top management to bottom all the faculties plays there role equally and sincerely, they helped us 24*7, even at night time also.
