Good Acedamic Course Content

The content wise the college is good but the college has to increase the expertise in the current trends in the technology and the content of the curriculum has to be modified according. Also college need to provide more research opportunities to the students.

The course curriculum covers all the aspects of civil engineering which includes water resources, urban planning, environmental, transportation, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering. The exam structure is divided in two sets one mid semester exam and end semester exam. The final grade in any subject is comprised of the two mentioned exams, attendence, quizzes, tutorial.

The placement of civil engineering department is on the average side. The major company which comes for the recruitment is L&T construction. There are number of non core companies also come for recruiting and takes students for good packages. In terms of internships college mainly have industry internship from the companies which come for placement but for research internship students have to search and apply by themselves

There are number of events that happen in college throughout the year. The major one are freshers party, cultural fest Sparsh, technical fest Mindbend, sports event, Cricket tournament, volleyball and football tournament. There are number of technical fest which is organised by various technical student chapter of the college and the major one among them is organised by DRISHTI.

The fee structure is decided by the MHRD and changes as per their amendment. Currently the fee structure is 75000 turion fees per semester and around 40000 hostel fees which includes mess fees for one year. The tuition fees is expensive from my point and the hostel and mess fees are slightly more than nominal

College provides loan and scholarship for students whose parents income is less. They usually do interviews of the students who require such scholarship. But there are not any scholarship which provides assistance to the toppers of the department.

The labs are equipped with various equipment which can be used for conducting number of experiments. The main issues is with the maintaining the equipment and lack of support staff who knows how to use the equipment in a proper manner

Hostel facility is good. There are 7-8 hostels in total and rooms of each hostel are of moderate size. 2-3 hostels are of small capacity and rest of them have a good capacity. There are number of festivals are celebrated by each hostels.

There is a association of alumni. And they organize convention to the past batches of the institute and also some alumni provide monetary assistance to some student chapter for doing some projects. The help from senior of the college totally depends on who one approach.

Admission is taken through JEE-Mains exam. JOSSA portal is used for filing of choices of department and college. There are usually 4-5 rounds of admission and one can freeze or float his choice. Once the admission is confirmed one has to pay the admission fees through demand draft

Almost all of the faculty of the civil engineering department has a PhD degree and many of them have the experience of field. From teaching point of view some of the faculties have issues in conveying the knowledge but many of them are able to convey the knowledge in well way.
