Remarks

Mostly positive. But the political part were not so smooth back then. So I had 100% positive situations at my college till the half of second year. But then we faced some difficulties to attend college classes sometimes. But it was purely my own viewpoint. Times change. So I hope my own college is now a great place to get grads degrees for the general students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was quite good. Though I was not so good enough in studies. Teachers were very helpful. I loved the college environment and their teaching method. Exams were quite a tough job for me. The subject was interesting enough for students I must say.

Placement Experience

4

Because the subject doesn't cover the process of internship thus we didn't get any. But students will definitely get places in respected organisations after being qualified, that's my belief. The college doesn't offer direct placements but students are being treated carefully at its best to get qualified for the future opportunities.

College Events

4

Cultural events covered the basic criteria i. e 1. Fresher's Welcome 2. Annual Fest 3. And miscellaneous (Short Events, talent hunt show, sponsored campaign of respected brands and companies) Management were truly commendable for their commitments and supports. The Cultural background was very rich and we got various opportunities to showcase our talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not at all expensive. I must say it was very much affordable for the general masses. Though I don't remember the exact fee structure at this moment but I can assure you to get qualified in your respective fields at a very low fees there.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for any scholarships over there. So I am not sure about this topic. You may ask for the loan facilities or scholarships over there during the admission procedure. To my belief you will get the best solution there.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities such as Sports (Cricket, Football), Singing Competitions and miscellaneous. These are being covered by the college pupils. Gender ratios 1:1 or 2:1 in most cases. (MALE to FEMALE ratios)

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors were the support systems for us in my opinions. They were very friendly. We used to chat at the canteen whole year round. We watched the world cup final all together back then at the canteen. Those were the best days of my life.

Admission

I wanted to take the course viz. B. Com(Hons) in this college. I filled up the form. And according to the H. S percentage I got selected for the morning batch of B. Com(Hons) back in 2010. There was a huge line at the time of admission procedure. I was a little tensed due to my low marks in H. S. but thankfully I got the same.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties were truly learned and helpful. All the teachers were highly qualified who took our classes back then. Students who love accountancy will definitely get the best from the teachers concerned, according to me.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
