Good college for software related courses in term of placement

Hostels are crowded. Rooms which were earlier made to accommodate one students are now filled for two/three. Provide more software learning for core branches as per latest academics syllabus of IITs.

Course are much conventional. Not focused on research etc. New software were like AutoCAD MATLAB were taught. Labs, assignment and exam were frequent which will keep you always busy but every year there are two Fest are organised for technical and cultural each.

Placement in core branches like civil, mechanical are average. Around 50% of entire batch got placed every year with average package of 6LPA. But in software branches like CSE, IT,ECE 98% students got placed with average package of 9lpa. Our college doesn't provide internship for civil engineering course but they do offer several summer projects whose project related expenses are full reimbursed by respective department of college.

There are two events organised in an academic year. One for technical named AVISHKAR which is quite big, students from other institute take part in this, winners are awarded with decent prize money. Another one for cultural named CULRAV which is big festival last for a week famous Bollywood celebrities are hired for this event. Apart from these events there are several other events and seminar are regularly organised by various department.

Fee was nominal when I studied there but now fees has been hiked twice around 1. 4 Lacs per annum including academic, hostel and fooding. Students belonging form SC/ST category have low fee structure which is halved. Fees are charged semester wise.

Scholarships are offered by institute and GOVT of India both. Loan are easily offered by any banks in the name of college prestige. State government also provide scholarship for academic expenses if you are economically weaker. Institute itself award scholarship for students whose family income is below 1 Lac per annum.

Gender ratio is very low 1:12. Students from all over India study here. They have separate cultural society also like Marathi, Bengali, Nepali which have separate participation in cultural festival. Several other club like robotics club, aeronautics club etc are there.

Cost of accomodation is very cheap around 2000 per semester but for availing mess facilities you have to pay 13000 or semester. First, second, third year students have sharing rooms but final year student have separate room.

Big network of alumni who are in big companies at good rank in their respective fields which help training and placement department for internship and placement offers. Alumni meet is organised by every year by college. My seniors were GATE and ESE topper who inspired me to excel in these exams.

Appeared for JEE Mains competitive exam 2013 which occurs every year for admission in undergraduate courses in central funded engineering institute like NITs, IIITs. I got a decent rank and through counseling held by CSAB board i got third option of my preference list.

All faculty are well qualified they all have PhD degree from prestigious university. Some of them hold their own research paper published. Some faculty have national image of renowned professor. All faculties have sound knowledge in their respective fields of interest.
