Remarks
I competed my best 2 years in this university. There's no negative remarks. This isn't like a 5 star institute like you have to pay 1 lakh or more for a certificate but this is general. I have learnt so many things. And after viswa bharati rural development department our department is 2nd. ( On the price sight) TIC is the no one in our country but as per cost i suggest that.
Course Curriculum Overview
As a social development student, i can truly say, society is our research lab. In this two years course, there are total 4 semesters. Last two semesters have practical or field level works. Our professors are very much helpful to perform their work. Not very likely not very hard. These are very fine
Placement Experience
Yes, our college provide internships. Like, i have performed in swach bharat summer internship in my 2nd semester and in fourth semester we have to take 1. 5 months internship in a NGO. And this totally guided by our beloved professors. After that some of us got absorbed by this organizations by our performances. Some NGOs provide stripends like, i worked in Pratichi institute & trust ( established by Dr Amartya sen) and i got a good stripend
College Events
Festival like frehers, annual programs these are basics and apart from that free health check up camp, blood donation camp, extra curricular activities, special education training, seminar, extra programs like hindi sikho, Buddhism, computer training, spoken English. Etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
Not much higher. I performed 2 years course and it's worth total 28k. I think this is moderated. Not too high not too low. But u can surely say that, this price is much lower than other institutions like TIS & others
Fees and Financial Aid
Sc,st scholarship available at first place, gmfor general students, there's also merit cum means scholarship available. Apart from that swami vivekananda scholarship, only girl child scholarship etc Also available.
Campus Life
We have swimming pool, basketball, gym, tennis courts etc. Student have free access. Apart from that there are so many contests, tournaments arranged for extra curricular activities. And also celebrate yoga day, gym day etc. Performers also get a validation certificate
Hostel Facilities
Yup hostel facility available but as a local student i dont need this. But i know the hostel costs are not that much high. Seats available at large numbers. Phd scholers has their personal room but master's students have to share their rooms.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, in our field contact is everything. Without relationship there's no career in rural development. I have good communication with my seniors as well as juniors. They are very helpful. In my internship days and practical days they help me a lot to understand the social divergence and help me to perform my daily work
Admission
After completing my graduation, i started my research for my next career goals. I don't want to continue in basic economic field, that's why i want to work in a partial field of economy. After some research i found a course name master's in Rural Development in University of Kalyani. I get the notification near about July, i submitted online application and bank challan and got a merit list, then i have to persuade in a merit test. After completing this, i got selected. And admission process started.
Faculty
All are doctorate level, highly professional people. They have years of experiences in field level as well as theoritical level. They always helps us and stand by our sight when we need them most. They are very friendly and guide us like their child.
