I initially applied to Presidency University, Scottish Church College, Loreto College, Bethune. Taking the overall environment and faculty into consideration ( non union college) I opted for this college. Faced a rejection from Presidency and Loreto...but got into the rest two. The admissions are based off of 12th marks strictly. No other exams are accepted. One has to score very high to get into this college. Gen- above 95 Obc- 85 above Sc -75 above The above assumptions are just rough. One might be lucky enough to get into this college with lower marks or be unfortunate to not get into with much higher marks. Let's say a safe 90 above should be scored regardless of category. I got chance in a lot of different colleges under CU, State University, and Kalyani University, but chose this one since this is a reputed one with no political influence. I got rejected from Presidency University since I was not able to make the cut-off there, but LBC was my second choice, so I am kind of okay with it. General Students should have 90% up in 12th grade . Sclst student should have 80% Admission details are provided in CU website. Eligibility that was mentioned in the College Website was 60 % and above in HS and class 10 Examination, but receiving about 90% marks is what is expected from Lady Brabourne. If you are in the category of 90%, you are more likely to get admission.
