Good College with many resources funded by government

The positive criteria to be mentioned is that the college is situated in the area where you find many coaching institutes around so that you could learn whatever you want to in the free time other than the regular academic schedule. We find many coaching institutes for UPSC, Groups, Gate, GRE, CAT etc. which are very nearer to the college.

From 2018 it is following AICTE model. Before it used to CBCS model. The exams and labs aren't very frequent. The curriculum helps one to learn things in a depth in a chilled way. We have one lab internal and 2 theory internals in each semester besides the external main examinations. Lecturers based on their interest may also conduct tests like quiz on weekly basis in order continuously evaluate students progress.

The placements are very good in comparison with the other colleges like NITs and IITs. The highest package for the academic year 2017-18 was 43. 4 lpa(D. E. Shaw and Co. for 2 students), 2018-19 around 26lpa(Amazon) and this year the placements aren't done yet. As of now the highest package is 23lpa(Commvault).

There are events Cultural events like Amusant and Intronox in the odd semester. In the even semester each of the departments has its own departmental technical fest organised for 3 days. We also have events like Youth(Mock) parliament enhancing the interests of students in present day situations. In addition to all these we have frequent workshops on emerging technologies and skills conducted.

The fee structure is affordable by almost everyone. As if now the academic fee is ?10,000. For OC or government employees children it is a must to pay this fee. For others the fee will be reimbursed by various scholarships. During admission we pay a miscellaneous fee about ?10,000(varies generally it was 7,700 for academic year 2017-18 admissions). Apart from this we have examination fee of ?1500 per semester. Roughly one could finish their complete 4 years of engineering within a fee structure of about 65,000 (if day scholar) and ?1,00,000-?1,50,000(if hosteller). *****If you don't belong to OC and parents are not government employees then the fee is only about ?25000 for complete 4 years course and even you get scholarships above them. For hosteller their is no accommodation fee as it is funded by government. Hostellers have to pay a fee of about ?6000 per semester as mess bill. If the student doesn't belong to OC and parents are not government employees even this fee will be reimbursed under scholarships. According to the reports the annual academic fee may increase to ?30,000 in near future.

As I belong to OC and I am child of government employees I only receive merit scholarship by MHRD ?10,000 annually for 3 years and ?20,000 for the final year of the course. There are many other scholarships like epass (and 2-3 other I'm not sure of names as I don't avail them) which reimburse the college fee and mess bills.

The labs are well equipped with good infrastructure. The gender ratio is generally 2:3 or 3:5 in each class. Every class has a limited strength. And we have only one section for each semester unlike you find 2-3 sections for students of each semester in other private institutions. The workshops are frequent as I mentioned previously. People interested in sports can find grounds here and there and well maintained TT, basketball, football courts and Cricket grounds in and around college everywhere.

The hostel is well facilitated. The girls hostel(only one) though has about 8-10 per room the boys hostels(four in number) are very spacious and usually are alloted 1-2 per room. There is no accommodation fee for hostel. We only have to pay the mess bill about ?6,000 to ?10,000 per semester. The food is good compared to any other colleges in and around the state.

The Alumni network is good here. Generally we have talks with alumni around 2 per month regarding the emerging technologies and their areas of work. The seniors are very interactive (only if we stay in touch with them). There is no ragging culture within the college and hostel premises.

Based on EAMCET rank merit list, one of the top most engineering colleges in Telangana. Myself belonging to Open Category with a state rank 648 got admitted into Computer science and engineering during the academic year 2017-18. The faculty of the college in each of the six departments (BME,CSE,ECE, EEE, Mech and Civil) is highly qualified. Most of them hold a doctorate and Ph. D in their respective fields of research. There is good interaction between the students and faculty.
