Remarks
Overall, I would like to rate it 3. 5 on a scale of 5. It's good if you have the smartness to manage it. Keep good friend circle & keep note of the classes & what is going on there. This will really help in long term. Seniors are good & helpful, so keep good connections with them even after they graduate from the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was good, though the revised one is better. It has divided the credits & subjects equally so that students will feel less pressure & can concentrate on extra-curricular activities as well. However, the accessibility to practical knowledge is less. Also, the seminars are not worth attending.
Placement Experience
Yes, the college does provide internships, but that only involves sales & marketing ones. Placements are okayish. Only a handful of companies visit the campus out of which 40% are sales, 40% are calling based while only 10% provide good job profiles, rest 10% involves others miscellaneous jobs. The college provides JDs of various companies, but the companies who actually turn up are very less.
College Events
Technical: Avensis, Cultural: Genesis, Other: Enva. Mostly the events are organized on intra level. The restrictions create huge problems for the organizers & students. Insufficient funds are available to the students. No celebrity engagements or concerts.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is quite expensive, especially for a student coming from a middle class family. The annual fee range between 70000-85000 excluding additional charges while processing. I would say keeping in view the overall facilities provided to the students, it's not totally worth it.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarships available. Students do get mails regarding the scholarships, but there is no facility available to convert the mails into reality. No staff member helps the students to deal with that.
Campus Life
There are various societies which get active during the beginning of the new session. Only 1 or 2 continously work throughout the year. Theatre Society is active, but the pressure is not manageable by students. Quizzing society is decent & active throughout the year, both online & offline. They conduct monthly quiz competitions within college & also provide upcoming opportunities to the juniors or members.
Alumni/Alumna
No alumni connection. They visit campus rarely, and that too for their official purpose or for collecting rhe documents. No participation from them is seen till now. Also, the culture jas evolved like they are not respected & made fun off, which is why it is obvious why would somebody want yo visit there.
Admission
I wanted to go into management field which is why I chose this course. Plus, I was getting additional subjects Banking and Insurance as a part of the course. The admission is based on the entrance exam conducted by GGSIPU, a common entrance test (CET). The students receive a rank based on their scores & then they are allowed to fill the college of their choice. They can fill as many preferences as they want & then, the university allot seats according to their ranks.
Faculty
I would say some are good, but are not. Many teachers who possess a PhD don't even knowledge about what they are teaching. It's completely different from their field & maybe due to shortage of faculty they have to do this. While some treat with students properly, others just rudely behave to scare off the students.
