Once an Aloysian, Always an Aloysian

Just a suggestion. The college needs to understand the concerns of the students with constant interactions. Otherwise, this is one of the best colleges in India.

The current curriculum followed is fairly good. But they have updated the syllabus is a great way for our juniors. The current first-year UG batches are following a syllabus that is far more advanced than what my batch is following. Otherwise, overall the college has set up a very good curriculum. We have very active extra curricula and co-curricular activities and a 20-hour social service program called SAHAAYA which are compulsory for 1st and 2nd-year students. Industrial visits are organized for 3rd-year students for certain batches.

So many companies including Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, etc have visited our campus for placement. Also, our college organizes a mega recruitment drive collaborating with the companies too. General steps in recruitment include screening, Aptitude tests, Group discussions, and interviews.

Several technical fests are conducted by the college with the Composite National level fest being the biggest of them all. It is conducted every year by the department of BCA, Computer Science and Computer Animation along with other fests like Imprints(Science), Astitva(Arts), etc.

Fees taken by the college are decent and fairly affordable. Payment of fees can be done using DD/Cheque or Online through net banking(debit card/credit card). For students coming from other states, ie, outside Karnataka have to pay? 10000 extra. Also, there are additional fees for second languages other than Hindi and Kannada. The college fee breakdown is transparent.

I did not avail of any scholarships or educational loans so far. I don't know about such schemes and procedures to avail them.

Campus life in Aloysius is such a good one. The infrastructure provided by the college is grand. The gender ratio is optimal with equal opportunities and participation from both sides. Talking about diversity, there is linguistic, cultural diversities with students from different parts of the country and also other countries studying here. All labs are very good. Sports activities are conducted by the Physical Education department if college. Sports Day is one of the main events in the college. Other extracurricular activities and co-curricular activities are also conducted frequently by the college.

The Alumni network of the college is very active. They are seen visiting the college at times. They maintain constant contact with the college even after graduation. They help the college in funding too. Senior students are very helpful as they help us in various matters.

I chose the course(BCA) because I was very interested in the field of ICT. Few of my seniors and relatives are alumni of the college and they had a great opinion about the institution. Also, it had a good rank in the state as well as the country. Admissions to the college were done online. Later, selected candidates will be called for the final verification process and interview. Once it's done, you can pay the fees and finalize your admission.

There are around 20 lecturers in our course. Their average age is around 45. Their qualifications include Ph.D., NET, MCA, MSc. Computer Science, MSC. Physics, BCA, BSc. Computer Science, BSc. Physics The lecturers are very supportive. They handle classes in a way that the concept is clear to all of the students. They concentrate on both theoretical and practical teaching methods.
