About my college

Overall the college is one of the top 10 NITs of India and has good opportunities as it has given various alumni to the nation which have excelled in various fields of life. Still there is a lot of scope for improvement as administration needs to work hard for proper functioning of the college.

I would say that the curriculum is although a bit old and it needs to be updated but still it's a good curriculum to bring out the engineer inside you. it does not simply include theories but also a bunch of practical exams.

The placement and job opportunities are quite good. They invite various companies from top firms to hire students and interviews are also conducted for internships. Recently one of my friend got internship in De' Shaw with monthly stipend of 1 lakhs for 3 months.

There are various cultural and technical events conducted in our college such as Sparsh which is our cultural fest as well as akriti which is our freshers intro and mindbend which is our technical fest. the funds are mainly raised from sponcers.

I believe the fee structure is expensive although government gives waiviers to those who are from economically weaker sections still it need to be reduced a bit as it is usually seen that students need to take loans

The scholarship available are based on the income of family that if it is less that 1 lakh then there is no tution fee and if it is between 1-5 lakhs then two third is waived off. apart from that students who SC and ST do not have to give any tution fee.

They sports and the labs of the campus and although old and rusty but have been planned well by the people who have laid the foundation stone of this college as they have given lot of space for that. All it needs is a proper renovation.

The hostels are highly spacious and have been planned well but there is a lack of proper utilisation of funds in the hostel as the maintaince is not been able to be done properly due to lack of funds in the hostel but it is highly recommended to take hostel rather than PG.

The alumini network as seniors are quite good. They have excelled in various fields and can be recognised easily. They are highly helpful as they have came back several times to give alumini talks and to motivate the juniors.

For getting into our college, you need to qualify IIT-JEE and after cleaning Mains, you can get into this college if you have a decent rank. After getting the rank, you will apply for JoSAA which conducts all india councilling and if you keep this college at a higher preference, you can get into it.

The facult is quite decent and good. Not all but still good. All of them are Ph. d from top colleges but still I believe that you can excel if you have a good learning temperament even with average faculties.
