College Review

My college is very good in academics and placement as they focus more on making the careers of the students studying here by providing quality education and by calling good and big companies for Campus Placements. Our college do lag in terms of infrastructure and Campus area as it's campus is divided into 2 and also there no very minimum no. of fest and events in college but one thing is sure that our college do make career of all students successful by proving good education and placement.

Course curriculum here in NIET is based on the guidelines of AKTU (APJ Kalam Technical University), all subjects and curriculum are decided by AKTU only. Exams are also conducted by AKTU at the end of every semester and apart from them college also conduct there own sessional exams.

As I am in 2nd at this point of time, I didn't know much about placement process in my college, but I do know that in my college the placement record from the last 2-3 years exceptionally good and students of various branch are getting placed at various companies at decent packages, in CS & IT branch almost all students getting placed from last 2 years.

Our college does not organize Fest and other events quite much. Our college do celebrate Republic Day, Independence Day and others days every year, but our college do not organize any kind of fest, events or any show often. There are some activities which happen in college like small music competition, debate etc. Some events which have taken place in our college are: Ojas, Antardhwani, Fresher party etc.

The Fee structure of all AKTU college is almost same, the tuition is around104000 for 2 semesters (1 year) excluding the hostel fees or transportation fess for day scholars. The fee of my college is feasible as we compare it to the other nearby colleges and universities which more costly then NIET.

Here at NIET there are some scholarship programs which are runned by AKTU, olny for UP students and scholarship of around INR 60000 is given to the students who are eligible,apart from this college also provide some scholarship/awards from there side to the students who perform well in academics.

There's are many good and well equipped labs in my college and all are very good and reputed labs like Microsoft lab, Mac(Apple) Lab, Mercedes lad, MG Hector Electric Lab and many more good labs which are always available for the students to come and make full use of lab and extracurricular activities my college has different kinds of clubs like Music,Dance, Painting, Sports(Cricket, Football, Basketball etc. ), Social clubs etc.

Yes I have opted for hostel here at NIET, and in NIET you are forced to take the hostel in 1st year by the college authorities and also at NIET there are 2 Campus one is for only 1st year students and other for rest of the students. 1st year hostel is quite good I quite enjoy my life living there but hostel onwards 2nd year are very poor, I seriously regret my decision to take hostel in 2nd year food is very poor and there are no facilities in the college hostel. In my opinion you can opt for hostel in 1st year but from 2nd year take any hostel or room outside that would be both cheap and better to live.

Alumni in network in our college is quite good any successful alumni often come to college to interact with the students and to motivate them to work hard and achieve their dreams, and also senior students are quite helpful and there is no ragging practiced in our college, For 1st year students it's hard to interact with senior as they live in different campus.

I directly approach the college for admission in the basis of my 12th class marks, both my branch and stream were given to me in the basis of my 12th percentage. As I had CS in 12th class I was given the CSE branch easily.

Faculty here at NIET is quite good. All teachers here are well trained and quite experienced in their particular field. And way of teching is also very good, all teachers are hard working and assignments and practice ques are provided to us timely.
