Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is upto date and oriented for the student welfare and helpful for both research and competitive exams. Every topic is chosen based on the need of the student to learn it. The choronology of the topics taught is perfect. Exam is yearly and not semester wise. Labs are perfect, with highly qualified teachers.
Placement Experience
Internship is not as such provided by the college. If a student wants that then he or she will have to arrange for it. The teachers will give their support. As Geology is a Science subject and not professional one so there is no chances of getting a job after Bsc in the field. A student have to complete post graduation to get a job.
College Events
A hell lot of Cultural events are celebrated throughout the year by the Students' Council. From sports to Drama, Music to Art every field is explored in the various events. Even best Chef competition us held. Its really appreciable that the college also looks after the welfare of the student other than his academic activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is highly feasible. For the Bsc study in my field,in my three years span, I had to pay a total of around 20k rupees. Students who cannot afford that can apply for tuition fee wave and other concessions which are also given by the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships as such are offered by the government like the Vivekananda Scholarship or the Inspire Scholarship. The college looks after the poor students and gives concessions to them from the College funds. Other than that, no extra Scholarship on merit is given from college.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are well maintained. There is a common room for indoor games where one can play Table Tennis or Carrom. There is a small Field near the building where Football, Badminton Cricket is played. Student freshers are organised in the college which are nice to attend. Gender ratio is maintained and there are no such occurences of nuisances like Casteism, Gender Inequality, Religious Bigotry, Exonomic Status etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is highly active. Every student from his or her field will get alumni from different sectors who can gude him throughout his journey. The seniors are very much friendly and offer proper guidance throughout the college life.
Admission
Geology is an upcoming important branch of Science studied throughout the world. In every top ranking colleges around the world,Geology and Earth Science is taught. I chose Geology for this reason. I got through by Boards marks in the First List. On the tentative date I went to the college with all my documents and got my Admission without any problems.
Faculty
Our faculty members are highly qualified and experienced. Each topic has a different teacher who is highly experienced in the field. One of the teachers of our department worked for ISRO. The way they teach is rrally fascinating and helpful for every student.
