How is IIT Kanpur

The environment is very good and green. You will see a lot of birds around you. People are also very kind. Cleanness is very high. The food quality is not good. Mess food is not as much tasty as it should be.

Course structure are very good. They cover everything for your department. Here in 1st and 2nd year mostly courses are fixed according to your department. But in 3rd and 4th year you will have some course option for choosing any of course from any of the department. College is focused a lot on research. Every year IIT Kanpur patents a lot of research. This year broke the all last year's record. Class structure are very good. Not all days are hectic. When you have lab that day will be hectic only. Otherwise only 3-4 hours classes. And exam are also distribution very nicely. Like we have quizs before midsem and endsem. Then we don't have a lot of load during midsem and endsem.

The placement status is very good. Every year the placement status is around 90 percentage. All big company like Google, Microsoft, Amazon come for placement. Student gets package in millions of rupees. Yes our college provide internship under SURGE. It gives stipend around 15k to 25k.

We celebrate three main events Antaragni, Techkriti, Udghosh. Antaragni is cult festival which is one of the largest culture festivalof India. Techkriti is tech festival. Which is one of the largest tech festival of Asia. Udghosh is sport festival. It is not so large as others. But it is also very big festival. In all of them festival people participate from all around India.

Fee is not so high like other private college. It is devided according to your parents annual income. For less then 1 lack= free 1 lack to 5 lacks= 66k More then 5 lack = 200k But we get lot of scholarship.

MCM scholarship is best scholarship. In which you will get your tuition fee back. You will also get 11k pocket money. But for those whose parents annual income is more then 600k can't get any scholarship. Institute also provide interest free loan with a easy process.

Institute has a lot of clubs like Electronic club, Robotics club, Programming club for tech. Drams, Dance, Music club for cult. Which held up many workshops and participate in many contests. Institute has all type of game facility also. It have cricket, basketball, ballywall, tennis, TT, football, hockey etc. But gender ratio is very poor which is about 1:10.

Hostel is compulsory for outside students. Who are not from kanpur. Hostel infrastructure is very good. But which are old hostels they are not so good. Cleanness and facility are quite good. Till 3rd year you will have to live with other roommate. But in 4th year you get personal room.

All the senior are very interective. Institute also organization some senior interection session. We also have some alumni facebook groups. Institute also provide a facility for one to one mentoring. Assign a alumni to a student. So they can help very easily.

I always wanted to learn about machine. So I decided to go for engineering. We all know that IIT's are the best institute of India. So I decided to get admission in IIT. Then after 12th I went to Allen Coaching, Jaipur. I took coaching for one year. Then in 2017 I cleared JEE mains and advance exam. And came at IIT Kanpur.

They are very talented and humble. All of them are studied for top universities. They teach subject in which they are interested and doing research. So everyone love to teach his interests with his full efforts.
