About My College

The positive feedback of my college is that the college is full of facilities which can be used to build up career of a student in many ways. All the teachers are highly qualified with excellent teaching and interaction skills. Laboratories are having rare and expensive machinery maintained by staff. Faculty members are supportive in nature in all aspects. The negative feedback of the college is that the facilities are not used completely in the welfare of the students. The students somewhat lag behind in the same. Thus in order to make the students practical and productive, facilities should be utilised completely.

The course curriculum of the college is a balanced one. One can have a proper learning following the curriculum. All the necessary subjects and topics are taken into the consideration from study point of view. The exam structure is strictly based on the course curriculum provided. All the questions are not too easy to handle with no efforts applied. The question paper is balanced one in all aspects.

The placements and job opportunities are not too good from the mechanical point of view. The companies offering jobs and campus placements are Reliance Private Limited and Tata Consultancy services providing jobs to selected brilliant productive students making it difficult for other students to compete. Our do not provide internships. Unfortunately the students of the college go to other colleges for the same. But from last one year seniors along with the students are planning to start internships for the enrichment in college welfare.

The college life in Jabalpur Engineering College is full of events and cultural fests. The main cultural fest celebrated is AAVAHAN in which intra college sports meet for different games is organised and accordingly prize is distributed. At the end we have a cultural dj night for enjoyment. Many cultural and non cultural groups are there with their guiding leaders to encourage the new participants for the same. AUREOLE is also one of those biggest fest which is celebrated once in a year with full enjoyment in which many cultural competitions and sports competitions are organised.

The fee structure of the college is about 26000 per annum which is quite feasible for a normal family. The above fee excludes examination fees and other miscellaneous charges taken by the college. The total charges reaches to about 30000 per annum which seems to be affordable for a middle class family. Although selected students get various scholarships and get reduction in their annual fees.

The colleges offers all the scholarship schemes offers by state government and central government. The deserving candidates on the basis of family income, category, jee score or rank, class 12 percentage and other categories. Thus deserving candidates get full financial support from the government and the college as well. Some famous scholarships schemes are MEDHAVI CHATRAVRATTI YOJNA, NIRDHAN CHHATRA YOJANA, etc.

The college excels in extra curricular activities as well. Labs are also maintained well and the equipments kept are rare to be found everywhere. Lab sessions are there for the practical development of the student which is the demand of the time. Lab attendants also show keen interest in teaching machines. Sports grounds are also there for the students for their physical fitness. The college organises extracurricular activities time to time to enrich multi talent in the students. Sports fests are also organised and students also take part in regular basis. So they hold better position.

Yes, I have opted for hostel. The facilities in hostel are very good in comparison to paying guest houses. The hostel charges are under 2000 per annum along with the facility of support of seniors as well as batchmates who can help the needy in adverse conditions. The infrastructure of the hostel is well managed along with the security and sanitary conditions. The 24 hour security facility is provided for the students. Mess facility is there in the hostel for food.

The alumni network of Jabalpur Engineering College is a vast one since the alumnus are spreaded all over the world. They help and support the college financially as well as give proper guidance to the students studying. They are very helpful and ranging from current seniors which are currently studying to the well settled engineers alumnus all are helpful making the college proud of ots alumni network.

For admissjon in Jabalpur Engineering College one has to take JEE examination and secure a rank accordingly the branch he or she has to choose in the college. Afterwards, we have to fill MPDTE Counselling in which we have to select Jabalpur Engineering College and the stream one has to choose in preferential order. After which one merit list will be declared which decides the distribution of seats of various colleges to students according to ranks and available seats. If one has not selected in the preffered branch or college he or she can try for next round against the vacant seats. Thus this process is done till the no of seats of the college are occupied completely. Thus one has to go through the process for admission in this college.

The faculty of the college is well qualified and professional. All the professors and assistant professors are helpful to the students in all the required areas wheather official or personal. Most of the faculty members are strictly dedicated towards their duty of teaching. They solve individual doubts too making the learning easier. They are highly qualified and highly experienced acting as spinal cord of the department.
