My College diary

In an overall view our college provides us a very good experience for us so we can live and learn in a peaceful environment. One can gain as much as knowledge and experience inside the college and can lead a prosperous life.

Being a civil engineering student the curriculum of ours are so much simple and easy to handle for the current students. But its not enough for the students we have learn a lot in a practical manner cause we have much responsibilities while we are entering the professional and commercial world.

Considering the overall college they conduct lots of placement drives,off campus and on-campus recruitments. But considering our civil department we have only few core companies since there is lots of difficulty in construction field they always hire experienced employees for there companies so it's must for all of us to gain experience via internships during our academic years.

Annual culturals, Technical symposiums, sports day and other festival celebrations including pongal, Navarathri golu, Holi, Diwali, Christmas and Ram Jan and it's more secular in religious behaviour and allow all religious activities for the students to involve.

As compared to other reputed colleges it's quite feasible for students to acquire. If you are joining the college via government quota then your fees will be around 60k to 70k per year and the bus fees and mess fees will be around 40k if you require any.the hostel fees will be around 80k per year. Exam fees for the exams should be paid by the students prior to the semester exams. It will be based on number of papers you are appearing.

Scholarships of arround 20k are provided for the students who secure above 8.5 GPA. Scholarships for the first graduates in the family are privileged by the college, scholarships for SC/ST community are also provided for the students. Students are also provided scholarships based on the financial status by the college management.

Our college provides important mostly on the academics apart from that students have special extracurricular hours weekly to strengthen their abilities on their interest. Students can practice sports daily after the college hours. College provides special permission for the sports person for participating in external sports events. They also provide permission for attending external college symposiums and cultural feasts. There's is no gender partiality among the students.

Our seniors are much more friendly and they try to help us in all the possible ways. They guide us all the way along and provides advices and shares the experience of them with us. In our college we have anti ragging community and if we encounter any problems any one can reach it and they can solve it.

I joined the college by means of management quota. It's very simple for me cause my cut off marks in the 12th board exams were above 140, so it made a easier way into the college for me. You can also join here by Anna university merit list (counciling) by doing so you can also have some merit scholarships if have the corresponding privileges like First graduate, community scholarships etc.

There is no negative speaks about the faculties and there involvement in teaching for us. They will always give there best for us. In addition to that they will conduct guest lectures from external professionals and conduct Industrial Visits for the benefit of the students.
