Totally to study the B. pharmacy course it is a cheapest institute in Tamilnadu, but it has its own some disadvantages also most of the practical knowledge is not much concentrated students are never encouraged to attend the National seminars etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Before the academic year of 2017-2018 the exams were conducted once a year but after that the semester system came and every 6 months exam is conducted. But the lab facilities in our college not up to the mark. Being in Government College most of the chemicals are not provided to us.
Placement Experience
The college itself does not provide any job opportunities. Our college does not provide any internship. The students are the only person who should take risk and get placement on the particular job with the concerned companies
College Events
The one and only event conducted in our college is Pharmacy week celebration which contains sports and culture events within the college. In that only the students of the first, second, third and fourth year will participate. That will be done by the final year students
Fee Structure And Facilities
Not much expensive. University registration fees - 9000 Joining fees - 12000 Yearly college fees - 3000 Semester examination fees - 5000 - 6000. This college fees is designed by the government so it is not much expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarship given to the students based on their community the BC, MBC, ST, SCA, the scholarship is provided every year. Our college itself does not provide any loan facility, but it the educational loan can be brought from the bank.
Campus Life
The labs in our college is ver very old one, most of the chemicals and lab material will not be there even if it is present it will be very old one and of very low quality. The lab facilities are not good here. The gender ratio in our college is almost equal both the boys and girls will be equal.
Hostel Facilities
I the very first year you join there is only a common room given to ten members, there will be no cot or something, after joining second year one room will be given for 3 members. Monthly the rental fees for hostel will be around 1000 rupees
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are not at all useful for the junior students, actually the alumni of the college do not have any touch with our college institutions. There is an alumni association in our college but it is not much in work.
Admission
I thought of taking Engineering but as I was weak in Mathematics subject, I did not get pass out in NEET exam I like Biology so I took this course as this doesn't contain Mathematics. The Directorate of Medical Education conducted counselling based on 12th mark, in Chennai Government Multi speciality Hospital, based on the cut off I got the seat in admission procedure I was given choice of many colleges as I had good cut- off I got government college (there are only two government Pharmacy college all over Tamilnadu, in Madurai and Chennai).
Faculty
Most of the faculties in in this college is not bad at teaching the subjects they teach full fledged and but some of them are not very good at teaching, they conduct the practical class at good level of practice. Most of them will just try to pass the time. We cannot learn new things here.
