I'm a medical student

The campus is big and safe but for the safety of students, we've in time for the hostel .

This is 5.6 years course (4.6 years + 1-year internship ). You've to clear all exams before going into next year. Marks criteria- 50% passing marks. An internship can be done either from the same college or you can get your NOC done and transfer to another college. The transfer can also be done in 2nd year (just after final exams of 1st professional MBBS).

The internship would be in the same college (Silchar medical College and hospital). Duties will be given according to a number of days. After completion sign of every department, HOD is needed. The final degree would be given from Guwahati (main University).

Cultural events are very glorious especially Saraswati Puja. There's puja in the morning and DJ night in the evening. Junior doctors association (JDA) is held every year for 3 days where famous bands/singers are been called any seminars and annual meets of different departments are held every year where students can interact with non-hostelite seniors.

Fees for 5 years would be 22,000 which have to be paid in the beginning. It consists of college + library. Hostel fees - 3000/year. Mess dues - 2000/month (currently, might change later). Examination fees have to be given before every final exam. Registration fees in the first year have to be given.

I didn't opt for any scholarship but students can apply for the scholarship on national scholarship portal.

Campus life is quite good. Food can be improved (depends on where you're coming from). The hostel has a gym which is open to every student. Many events are held during college week. Cricket tournament is taken very seriously and many super seniors doctors also participate.

Alumni nights are included junior doctors association (JDA) which is for 3 days continue. Many super seniors also participate.

It's the best course anyone could get. College fees are quite low which was my main concern (22,000? for whole course). Admission was simple, you just need to get your medical checkup done and I'd be done in the same hospital. Seniors are very helpful so you don't have to worry too much.

Classes will be 6 days a week. There are more than 4-5 teachers for every subject. The age group of teachers - 30-45 years old. The most junior teacher would a pg student. Lecturers are specialised in their field. Mostly all teachers have great work experience.
