Remarks

Only negative remark is that after 9 to 5 class, students get very tired to do self study that affects their performance. Positive remark is that there is a friendly environment for students and an atmosphere to study

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is a 4½ year long one ie. 9 semesters, 6 month each plus an year of compulsary internship, that totals 5½ years. Exam structure contains 180 questions and 180 minutes. 90 questions from biology and 45 each from physics and chemistry. Each question carries 4 marks and each incorrect attempt carries a negative marking of 1 mark. Question is multiple choice type on an OMR sheet. And is checked through an OMR reader

Placement Experience

5

An year of compulsory internship is required by the students to complete. Also after completion of MBBS, students can either join the hospital as Junior residents as their full time job or pursue PG. There is no lack of job opportunities as the number of doctors in India is an infinitesimal one

College Events

3

Several seminars are continuously organised in the College. Besides, several cultural fests are celebrated with utmost enthusiasm which includes Saraswati Puja amongst others. Gatherings of doctors/physicians/surgeons is a common phenomena there. Also for students, tech fests are organised

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible fee structure as government bears most of the expenses. For first year around 7000 rupees is the total fee. For 2nd year, it's around 20,000 rupees. 18000 rupees for both 3rd and 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided to all the students as it's a government medical College and hence government bears most of the expenses of the students, which included accommodation, travel expenses, meals, and tuition fee

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is boys: girls=2:1. There are students from all over India, including North-eastern States, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, etc. There is utmost tolerance with regard to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, etc. To be honest, there is no apparent discrimination and students live as siblings

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful as they make us aware of the study material, pattern of exams (both internal and external), methods to study, important topics, etc. Experience with seniors is awesome. They are very helpful. They treat us as their junior brothers.

Admission

Admission was through merit-cum-entrance exam. Specifically speaking the exam that needs to be cleared is NEET-UG as of present. After getting sufficed mark to apply for a seat, one needs to go through an online counseling in which, names of the Colleges which the student wants get admitted into are provided by the student. Based on merit and some reservations, seat is allotted. After this, student and his guardian are to attend the actual counseling on a specific centre in the state where documents are verified. Following this, the student needs to report to the College on a decided date to confirm the admission.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculty of the College comprises doctors and hence they are very eminent teachers and make the students aware of the clinical knowledge besides bookish one. There are 19 subjects and teachers from every subject teach a portion of it so that effective compartmentalisation and distribution of portions take place.

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
