Yeah, as it is an autonomous institute, unlike other vtu engineering colleges (university), our college have other system of curriculum, each semester is 50% of CIE(Internals) and 50% SEE( semester end examination). Though there are 3 internals, they will consider any best 2 among 3. that makes student little free. overal it's not hectic but yeah lil chilled

Coming to the main point, many of magazines declare our college stands 2-5 position in Karnataka. Every branch student gets one internship from college itself, and yes CS, EC, IS students get placed almost 95% every year, that's the pride of college, Other branches like civil, mech, EE, Industrial production branches get 50% placements.

TechNIEks is the official event celebrated every year in the month of march. But events takes place EVERY WEEK (respective departments). Every year Induction programme(orientation) is availed for 1 st year students in the start of both 1st and 2nd sem. There are separate clubs in each department (more in CS) in which clubs are made by senior students and they conduct programs every week for joined students.

Loan facility can be availed from any banks (not officially from college) Scholarship are provided more and more for every year students and For semester too (in the name of alumni). Civil branch has many scholarship for toppers

There is well maintained library, as it was the second engineering college established in Karnataka in 1948. It is well maintained, with very famous alumni like INFOSYS FOUNDER- NARAYAN MOORTHI AND ADI CHUNCHUNGIRI SWAMIJI AND MANY MORE POPULAR PEOPLE Gender ratio is almost equal (even in mech) There is no thing like college president, and elections for students. For sports it is dedicated with a separate complex named diamond jubilee complex where equipments are available. It is more like a indoor stadium, But there is no big ground for sports like cricket, football. etc There is no such things like sexual orientation.

I wrote KCET (anybody can join if they qualify KCET, JEE), I got good Ranking in the entrance exam, though I waited for third round allotment in kcet to get admission to this College. I was interested in civil engineering, But The national institute of engineering (NIE) is famous for Departments like Mechanical, CS, civil, electronics and communication, I joined in an aided seat. Admission process is simple as we have to produce documents with 4 copies.

There are numerous faculty over every department and it's branches, they are very Reputated(most of Core branches faculty are from IIT's). they are enough to educate and make us understand the concepts.
