Remarks
The administration forces the students to be very obedient. They try to suppress protests using University securities and even using police force. They are taking away the public spaces of University from students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good, but still it can be better. In sociology there should be more works of the sabaltern discourse included. The timetable is cool. But University forces the MA students two take an additional foundation course in two semesters which i find unnecessary and hectic.
Placement Experience
There is no much placements for social sciences in our university. So what should i write for atleast 200 words if there us no internships or placements. You shouldn't have fixed a minimum number of words for thus question.
College Events
There is one big cultural fest every year that is called as Zukoon. So it is basically organised by the students union. It is very festive and big event. And there will be several small cultural events by other departments and organisations occasionally. About management fest there is one management fest in each year conducted by the management department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In first semester we have to pay 4500 and seperate 2000 for hostel ( this 2000 is a deposit, it will be refunded). Hostel fees is 500 rupees per semester. Second semester it's 2200 rupees for sem registration. I don't know about 4th and 5th. But the thing is it is very economical.
Fees and Financial Aid
University provide 1000 rupees monthly for 600 students, there are some eligibility criteria to select these students. There is no other scholarship that i know off. There is other scholarships provided by both national and state governments.
Campus Life
There are several extracurricular events in University all the time. There will be discussions in different subjects organized by different organisations or departments all the time. There is NSS. And for sports University conducts Cricket, Football, Basketball competitions. Students union organizes night cups for football and cricket every semester.
Hostel Facilities
The rend of hostel is 500 per semester. A room will be shared by two. It's pretty decent. You have internet connection in hostels. The rooms have enough space fot two people. They will provide two coat. Two tables and two chairs.
Alumni/Alumna
I dont know much about that. Like there are alumini organisations. And somethings are happening. But i am not that much aware of it. So I can't give you with the exact information that you want. But there are alumini organisations. And about seniors, they are pretty much good, friendly. There is no ragging.
Admission
I wrote two entrances on different courses, they are sociology and Political Science. Cleared sociology in first list and political science was in waiting list. So I took admission for sociology, anyway i was interested in both.
Faculty
The faculties are very qualified and are very helpful. But some may still have the egoistic attitude toward students. We have almost specialized faculty who have Phd in the respective courses which they teach.
