J. K. Institute of Applied Physics and Technology, University of Allahabad is a prestigious institute situated in University of Allahabad main campus in science faculty right in the middle of the city Prayagraj. The institute was inaugurated by first prime minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru back in 1949. This institute is one of the best in the field of Electronics and telecommunications.
Course Curriculum Overview
The institute provides several courses. B. Tech, M. Tech, MCA, M. Sc., D. Phil., PhD, are some of the courses which this institute provides. The institute is also known as Department of Electronics and communication. All the courses here follow semester exam system.
Placement Experience
Not very good. Not a lot placement or job opportunities here but students here focus more on the further studies and here they can prepare very well with the environment the institute provide. Some students do take placements. TCS, CINIF technologies, etc.are main employers.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in the college. Cultural, sports as well as literary events are celebrated here. Some of the main events are. Exuberance (freshers party), Avirbhav (annual function), Techno Cup (annual cricket tournament), Swat Cup (annual football tournament) and many others.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very feasible here. Fir the courses it provides this institute is one of the cheapest institute around the country. For b. Tech students fee is Rupees 24000 annual for general and OBC category students and Rupees 14000 annual for SC and ST category students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Institute does not provide any kind of scholarship or loan. Instead if you are eligible you can apply for the scholarship directly in the government schemes. There are many students who get central or state government scholarships.
Campus Life
There are several cultural and sport events organised in the institute. Specially the sport events. Cricket, football, badminton, basketball are some of the main sports which organised every year.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. Institute has its own separate hostels for both boys as well as girls. Single bed rooms as well as double bed rooms are available in the hostel. Infrastructure is very good and it provides mess, common room, sport area etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful. This is the best part of this institute. All the students here live like family. Specially hostelers. Seniors are always there for any kind of help and guidance. In alumni meet young students can meet the alumni and they get useful tips about professional life.
Admission
For admission in this institute you have to pass JEE MAIN exam. You have to secure a good rank for admission. If you have qualified JEE MAIN then you can apply for admission here through JOSAA counselling. Admission process is very easy and all the details are provided on the college official website. Direct admission is not possible in this institute.
Faculty
J. K. institute have a large and very experienced facility. electronics and computer science are main trades here. This institute comes under the University of Allahabad. Which is a central university.
