Good placement- [GCET], Greater Noida

The college lags in terms of infrastructure and facilities despite being an expensive private college. But it is good in terms of placement activities, faculty, and personality development. So you can opt for this college.

Since the college is affiliated with AKTU the syllabus is so much outdated that it is of no use for the students to know the industry trends. The exams and labs are frequent enough to leave us with a hectic day. We have our exams almost every month and those assignments and tasks make them even worse. One good lecture is about personality development classes.

The college focuses on the placement activities and thus there is a high chance of placement of a student in top MNCs like Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture. The college doesn't provide internships but sometimes organizes training from the companies for the students.

There are many technical and cultural festivals celebrated in the college. The Galgotias Unifest is a big hit in the nearby areas. Apart from this, there are many technical events organized by different departments which provide many opportunities for the students to participate, learn and win. Many students from the other colleges also participate and challenge others in the contest.

The college fee structure is 1,14,403 for all the courses like B.Tech, M.tech, MCA, MBA. It may seem a bit expensive for that infrastructure but for the personality development and recruitment programs, it is worth it.

As far as I know, there is no such facility provided to the students. Some students get scholarships from AKTU whose family income is less than 2,00,000 per annum. The amount of scholarship granted depends on their caste. Some of the students get discounts on their college fees if they secure a good rank in the entrance exam.

The gender ratio is 2:1 for boys: girls. There are very few girls in branches like civil and mechanical. The labs and extracurricular activities are good and provide different opportunities to the students. The cultural societies and departmental clubs organize seminars and workshops which are of great help for the students to interact with industry personnel. Most of the students of the college belong to middle-class families of UP, Bihar, and MP. Their economical conditions are not that good to spend this much amount of money on education.

I haven't opted for the hostel. The hostel fee is 1,40,000 for girls which is very expensive and not worth the rooms and food. There are triple sharing rooms available. If you live in nearby PGs you will get double sharing rooms along with food at the cost of 7K-8K monthly.

I had very less interaction with the alumni network and seniors but if you stay in the campus hostel, you will get chances to interact with the senior students and network. The college campus is ragging-free and thus there are no such problems. If you build up good networks with the seniors it will be easier for you to understand how to grab new opportunities in your peers. Seniors help with the industry contacts and the projects. You may need their help in our projects and building contacts with others.

I got admission to Galgotias through the AKTU entrance exam. After the declaration of results, we had to submit our desired colleges with the streams in the counseling process. Students got the colleges and streams according to their ranks in the entrance exam. I wanted to opt B.Tech in ECE because I was equally interested in hardware and software.

The teachers are qualified enough and most of them are interested in teaching a particular course. Some of them are not that good in laboratories and don't know how to use the lab equipment. Rest are just doing their job and they don't care if they are helpful to the students in any manner.
