Remarks

Bankura is my home town, so I have seen this college from my childhood. There are many positive things about this college, that they provided a student-friendly behavior. College is always there for poor people to help them.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This course will give us a great opportunity to deal with many unknown things. ICMR Project is there to review your thoughts. Only exams can give you a better insight into your knowledge, so our college takes many exams.

Placement Experience

5

It is a medical profession so no companies came. The internship is provided by the government and this is a part of our curriculum. In an internship, you have many things to learn. So this is a good part of our profession. And approx 25000 is given during internship.

College Events

4

Our college celebrates the annual function, named SYNAPSE, with great enthusiasm. Every year 2nd prof students arrange the festivals. There are many events like quizzes, dances, recitations, songs, cricket, badminton, etc. And every year some great singers come to our functions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a govt college so the fees structure is feasible. During our admission in the first year, we gave 10000 rupees. And in every semester you have to pay approx 6000. And we have to give many outside fees like annual functions, tournaments, and many others.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not offer you any scholarships. In the first year, I appealed for a scholarship. But they do not give any scholarships. There are many poor students who can not provide the fees, books. So college should provide scholarships. My father is a truck driver, so this is not possible for him to tackle all these fees. College should look into this.

Campus Life

3

There are 150 students in our class, out of them around 70 are girls. So the sex ratio is 8:7. All kinds of students are present in Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital. All students are friendly with seniors, juniors, and batch mates.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We live in a hostel, named SRB BOYS HOSTEL, which was built in the 90s. So you can assume what will be the situation of the room. During the monsoon, our room will be changed into a swimming pool, so this is a great thing. There is no geat in the hostels. So many street dogs enters the hostels. 3 students share a room.

Alumni/Alumna

This is the great experience I have ever seen. At first, seniors give you some lessons then they become your friends. You can share all your experiences with your seniors. They are always there behind you to help. They help me a lot during my examinations.

Admission

I gave NEET-UG 2018. And I chose this college during the college allotment. My childhood dream is to be a DOCTOR. My first attempt was not so worthful. So I took coaching from Allen. There is no interview process.

Faculty

3

All faculties are highly qualified and they are student-friendly. They are always willing to take classes. They focus mainly on the skills and exam points which are needed for us. Teachers are the best part of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
