SJEC MCA REVIEW

Campus is very good comparing with other colleges in Mangalore. They have good computer labs and libraries and provide wifi enabled campus. Have good hostel and college bus services. Only negative remark is the placements. They dont have good placement opportunities.

Good course similar to computer science. Mostly have programming languages rather than theory. Easy to study and good to learn. Comes total 3 year course and have 6 semester. This college is under Visveraya Technical University so little bit tough to pass the exam. But if get passed in the exam finally will get overall good percentage more than 70.

When comes to placements and internship are very less. They provide only less placements and internships. They don't have good companies and less placement services. I completed my course on 2019 still i haven't able to find a good job. For internship also they won't help either. If the student wants a good job then don't opt this college.

Each semester should have at least one fest. It comes around on one week. There will be programs and works and games related to this program. College day will be there so it like fest good programs. Night programs will be there. Each year one day onam celebration will be there. For the passed out students graduation will be there. Events and programs are very good and enjoyable.

Fee comes on each year. For MCA each fee comes around 80 thousand to 90 thousand. Each sem there will exam fee around 2000 and hostel fee around 30000 per year. For each events students will have find the fund by sharing themselves.

They don't have any loan facilities but the have scholarship's which will be helpfull for poor students. Students have to submit there full background details and income certificate so the students will get money per year.

They have high speed internet connection and each department have 2 or 3 computer labs. So it will be good to spend time there. And they provide a library which have many books and computer labs. Sports day comes under once in a year and there will be parade.

Hostel is very good and infrastructure is also nice. Fee cost yearly 30000 thousand and the monthly fee 2500. They provide free wifi and good facility for sports activities for them. Sharing Rooms and single rooms are available. Very neat rooms and clean every day.

Senior students and passed out students are helpful. They will help to get better understanding about the college and exams. And the passed out students will help to find better job or recommend for the companies.

I got Admission through PGCET entrance exam conducted by Karanataka exam authority on 2017. I got 127 rank in pgcet and i applied MCA course on St joseph college. I was a lateral entry student which can join directly to 2 nd year.

Good faculties, well educated and nice teaching. Most if them teach by using projector's so it will be easily to learn. Lab faculties also very supportive. They will provide old questions and answers before the sem exams.
