College Review

The course structure is prescribed by Anna University itself, thus it was highly customized as per the latest market trends and it was good. It was informative and customized as per the need of rapidly growing and robust corporate sector. Class notes are sufficient enough to get through the exam, otherwise, we were also able to procure notes from our seniors.

Placements are great here in our college. The college has close tie-ups with both government and private institutes and annually invites these organizations for on-campus placement drive. Companies that visited during my batch were EY, Oracle, Britannia, Asian Paints, CCD, etc. During these placements, students stand to secure a placement package of around 4 LPA on average, while some even secured packages as high as 12 LPA.

All the major festivals and annual events are celebrated here. Sports week is organized annually, so does the foundation day and was very helpful in getting a break from the exhaustive work routine of our course. Numerous socializing opportunities are organized by the different social clubs established in the institute. Many management events were also organized during the session in order to physically engage the students in activities that were directly or indirectly linked to the theoretical learning we received.

Our fee structure was on the higher side, but the facilities and amenities provided were mostly good. For the first year, I paid INR 80,000 while for the second year, I paid 1.6 lacs. The classrooms and canteen of the college are average. The library of the college is good. The college has good labs, auditorium, free wi-fi, etc. and other above par amenities would justify the fee.

Many alumni visit our campus for multiple reasons. Some alumni visit to be the judge in an event/competition, while some share their personal journey to motivate students. One frequent agenda of alumni meet is to provide a platform for the exchange of thoughts among the students and alumni.

My admission was done on the basis of TANCET score. There are just a few good colleges in the region that offers an industry-oriented MBA program and HBS is one of them. The entire admission process is pretty exhaustive since there are a number of factors that account for the final merit list. After attending the counseling round, I was granted admission to the college.

Our faculty was very qualified and had a plethora of expertise in the field of teaching. They made learning pretty much fun, especially with the live examples and personal experiences they shared. My favorite sessions were case study discussions and guest lectures. All of our faculty members were very supportive and accommodating.
