Remarks
Every organisation has some good or bad points so does Chandigarh University. Though I have been here a long time I came across many positive points like I love the campus, the events, the curriculum, teachers, in short I really like my college life.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think that the course curriculum is very fair and evenly distributed among all the semesters. I course provides us with industry exposure, research work experience, practicals etc. Our teachers teach through different methods like presentations, lectures, pop quizzes, debate competitions etc. We have regular tests, assignments, activities which help us grow.
Placement Experience
Chandigarh University has 100% placement record so far. The training and placement department of UITHM (University Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management) is very efficient. They have helped us gain industrial experiences with the best travel tourism and hospitality companies. They prepare us for the interviews, group discussions, written tests etc.
College Events
Chandigarh University gives importance to academics at the same time various events are also organized in the University which helps the students rejuvenate and increase their knowledge. Events like Youth Festival, World Tourism Day, Fresher's Party, various film celebrities also come to the campus to endorse their movies and Famous singers come and perform in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees depend from course to course. According to me, the college's fees are not very expensive, it is fine according to my course. There are different modes of payments of the fees online and cash. The university does provide complete transparency for not only fees structure also about all the rules and policies of the university.
Fees and Financial Aid
The University does have different scholarship programs for various students but did not apply for one. I education is taken care of by the education loan taken by my father.
Campus Life
The campus life is great, the campus is very beautiful, clean and green. We often go and it near the huge fountain on the campus and have a great time. Every now and then there are various parties, events, culture shows, sports events where all the university students actively take part and have a lot of fun.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors play a crucial role in our college life, and our seniors always have been very helpful, considerate and fun. They have helped us a lot when it for placements, project works, activities, club participation and whatnot. Every year our college also hosts an alumni meet.
Admission
Am not from tourism or hospitality background rather engineering background, still was curious about going for Travel and Hospitality industry. I have always been very fond of travelling so opted for this course so that I can make a career in this line. Basically I am from Himachal Pradesh and wanted to move out for studies, Chandigarh University helped gin exposure.
Faculty
I am very much happy with our teaching faculty. They are well qualified, knowledgeable, helped and considerate towards the students. Our teachers teach us through presentations, lectures etc. We have a very interactive classroom learning. As some of us are not from tourism and hospitality background still our teachers take efforts and teach us from basics.
