Course Curriculum Overview
The course contains various computer languages like C, C++, Java, Python. Traditional subjects like maths, physics, laser, and electromagnetism, networking, and security. personality development subjects like Communication Skills, and Introduction to management and many other important subjects.
Placement Experience
Placements are very well here, COmpanies like Wipro, Microsoft, Infosys offer placements here. The average package lies between 3.5-10 lakh.
College Events
Chandigarh University is full of events and fests. Lots of film stars used to visit CU for shooting as well as for there movie promotions as well as for performing live in events like CU youth festival, Tashan nights, festival celebrations. Moreover, CU allows performing in various sports events which were held nationally as well as internationally.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee here is quite reasonable. As it is a private college, the fee is considerably low than other collages nearby. moreover that the students here are also applicable to get scholarships from the Punjab state government. The annual fee without any scholarship deduction is 70k. Per semester wise 35k
Fees and Financial Aid
BSc CS basic fees in 35k per semester. But Chandigarh University offers a scholarship exam, named CUCET. It's a common entrance exam for all students. If someone scores more than 95 percentage his entire tuition fees are granted free. Moreover that if you score more than 50% you will get scholarships.
Campus Life
Here, children from various countries study here. Gender ratio changes from department to department but in our UIC department, the gender ratio is almost 1. UIC has special labs like Redhat Lab, Microsoft Azur lab, Cloud computing lab, Android Developing lab, etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are very good. For boys, CU has 4 hostels, NC, LC, Zakir and Govind and for girls as well named Sukhna, Tagore, Shivalik, Sachdeva. Hostels have fast wifi. But there are network tower issues in the hostel. Jio and Vodafone do not have a good range in there. Airtel and idea works well in hostels
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are very kind and helpful. They are our second faculty. Keeping good relations with seniors is very helpful. And yes there is absolutely no Ragging.
Admission
I have opted for this college as one of my friends is studying at this college, He told me that the college is really good for studies as well as for placements. I am pursuing BSc CS here, and frankly speaking its totally worth it, everything I have expected has fulfilled here.
Faculty
Teachers and faculties are really good here. They are very educated and very helping, Teachers are very hardworking. They are always ready to assist us whenever you want. Mostly teachers are experienced with a PhD degree, but there are lots of young teachers also. In the first year, most of the teachers are young and are quite lenient.
