Remarks
Attendance being 80% compulsory is a little high and causes a few issues. Other than that if you are interested in the field of pharmacy and technology this course is for you and this college can shape you and your goals very well.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is set in a way we learn our basics first and then move on to tougher subjects which helps in the learning process. Along with that, new topics for research and industry we covered in some format or the other. They teach us the concepts first and then how to apply them in the industry. Industrial visits are organised.
Placement Experience
There is a technical internship in the third year and a management internship in the fourth year. Several companies like Novartis do visit our campus for placements. Majority of the students get placed.
College Events
Isthmus Urjja our cultural test is organised by students from the college and is a great mixture of corporate and cultural events. It allows the students to express themselves creatively and learn how to handle responsibilities along with teamwork and leadership skills being honed. We also have a Social Responsibility Forum-Kshamta and Sports committee- Excalibur.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is definitely on the expensive side of the spectrum for a Bpharm course but you are getting an MBA degree with it. So it is worth the money. There were no additional fees to secure an admission. Yes, there is transparency in the fee break down. With every few receipts, the breakdown is given.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college itself hasn’t given us scholarship opportunities. As far as I know, I haven’t heard of any scholarships a student could avail.
Campus Life
There are more females in the course. Our days are longer than most other courses due to having lectures as well as practicals. It can become quite hectic when you do that as well as extracurriculars. However, the extracurricular activities do manage to bring a lot of joy and time to let loose which helps keep all of us in balance with the heavy workload.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are extremely helpful. Very approachable. Alumni network also keeps visiting the college for different kinds of talks and lectures and show us a small side of the industry.
Admission
After NPAT results were declared, I was eligible to enrol in the Mumbai campus. After filling out a few forms, we went to the NMIMS campus and sat for the admissions process. It was fairly simple. Took around 3 hours. The unique course of Bpharm+ MBA piqued my interest and made me choose this course.
Faculty
There are around 30-40 lecturers (not sure about the number) majority of our professors do have a PhD in their field or are pursuing one. They are highly experienced in teaching as well as industry certifications. They make learning easier and always strive to go beyond just learning from the exam point of view.
