All girls College

Mount Carmel college has it's mark and my experience during my batch was excellent! Let it be with the curriculum or the fests, or the liberty I've completely enjoyed it. The canteen facilities, toilet facilities, stationary facilties all inside the campus.

Course structure is also very simple and exam structure as well everything is done in a systematic way without chaos and there were assignments to be done which add up to our knowledge regarding the subject.

We had campus recruitment where companies like Kpmg, EY, target, Goldman Sachs and many more reputed companies were present, it was a very good experience where different companies had different interview procedures from group discussions to aptitude to personal interviews.

Freshers week with themes for a week or 3 days. Interdepartment fests that is among various departments. Intercollege fests of particular department like management fest for BBM. And others for Bcom and so on. Ethnic days and many other events.

Somewhere in between the fees was Rupees 75000 to 80000. Which must be higher now. Excluding the blazers as uniform. Other than this I don't remember the entire fee structure in detail. There is also bank within the campus to make it easier to make the payment.

As per my knowledge they do have scholarships but I don't have any knowledge of this. And even the loans they must be providing student loans which I am unaware of since I did not take any loan for the course.

Yes, there is a student union for the college and various other such unions for each department, extracurricular activities are also taken place, sports day happens at the sports ground. It's an all girls college and I haven't faced or seen any discrimination in the college.

I personally haven't had any interaction with the seniors but have seen a gew of them being very cool and friendly with the juniors, at certain events we got to know more about the college and faculty while the seniors spoke about them.

The process was very simple, we had to submit the application where in we fill in all the details along with the course we opt for, and once the applications are submitted the selected ones are out as a list, there are 3 lists for each course and once your name is on the list you're further guided to the principal for a simple interview as to why you want to get admission in the college. That's it once you crack the interview you are a student in the college.

Faculty is one of the best, all of the lecturers are well versed in their subjects and are kind enough to clarify our doubts every now and then, explanations are on point with appropriate notes, presentations and assignments.
