The management is student friendly. Also,they focus more on placement which is applaudable .But they can consider the transporation facilities and cost.
Entrance Preview
I was admitted into this college via tamil nadu single window counselling for engineering. My cut-off score is 173.5.As my cut-off score was below par,I couldn't get into top courses in top colleges .Fortunately,I got into Instrumentation and control engineering in my college as the course was started before a year.
Course Curriculum Overview
As my college is an autonomous institution,they could frame their own syllabus.Unfortunately,the course curriculum was not upto the mark as they persisted with the same syllabus of Anna University.But the course curriculum got its upgrade for the batch 2013-2017 .Now,the course curriculum has reached the another level .
Internships Opportunities
Yes,our college provides internship opportunities. Some students get internship opportunities by on-campus placements. Also,students are allowed to do internship if students provide the necessary details about the company they have got the offer off-campus.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunjties is pretty good when compared to other engineering colleges. Last year,our college witnessed a terrific record in placements,Nearly 80% of the students got placed. Some of the students got offers from two companies while few got offers from three companies.The highest package of 6.6 lakhs per annum is offered by Zoho Corporation. Major recruiters include Cognizant,Infosys,Accenture,Wipro,Tech Mahindra,Amazon,Verizon and few other companies.
College Events
Every department would conduct symposiums every year where students from other colleges will be allowed to participate .The cultural events will be held every year. Also , various sports will be conducted every year. The management encourages students to take part in the events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible and the best part is that the students are given enough time to pay the fees. Even some are given extended period to pay the fees .Also,one can split the fees and pay if the fees can't be paid in a single go .But the bus fees is expensive .The students are also asked to pay the exam fees in addition to the college fees. Exam fees is collected per semester for two semesters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The loan facility is offered by our college. Also,scholarship is also awarded to students .The government too provides scholarship to students. The top 3 students of each class are awarded cash prizes by our college.
Campus Life
The campus life will not be upto the level of top most engineering colleges but it is good when compared to other colleges. The gender ratio will be in equal but in case of mechanical engineering, male candidates fill the seats if not 99% of the seats .Extracurricular activities are rare to see but the labs are standard. The sports is pretty good in our college campus .The robotics workshops are conducted by Electrical departments.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a greater number of alumni as our college was started in the year 1985. There is a good alumni network and every year,meetup is organised in our college campus. I haven't attended any meet ups yet as I just passed out this year and so I can't say about experience of mine.
