About My College

To say as a whole thing, the college is one of the reputed institution in Chennai and in Tamil Nadu with high number of pass percentage every year and also have students with university ranks. But on the other hand, the college is somewhat strict to make the students as disciplined and respectful student.

The curriculum is good and since my college is under Anna University, it follows the curriculum of that University. A semester contains two internal exams and then the semester exams. My college also has a separate model exam to make students trained to the exams.

Placements are happening at an higher rate in my college compared to other surrounding colleges. In the year 2019-20, around 100 companies have visited to our college. Our college also have direct tie up with many top companies like Tata Consultancy Service, etc.

Technical events such as Symposiums, Project Expo, Paper Presentation, National and International Conferences, Hackathons, etc occurs frequently in eveey department of our college. Cultural events are also conducted annually with many events starting from Dance to Mime for all the departments and is celebrated on a day.

The fee is slightly expensive when compared to other nearby colleges. The fee depends upon the type of admission of the student. The fee ranges from ?75,000 to ?1,50,000. But the college provides fee wavier for students with higher CGPA.

Students in my college avail many scholarship including those from the central and state government and many other such kinds of scholarship. Student with high CGPA will have a fee waiver according to their grades. The fee waiver extends upto ?80,000.

Sports is one of the key thing and the management encourages students in sports. They also provide special busses after the college hours to sports persons. Gender ratio depends solely on the department. For example, Department of Information and Technology has higher girls than boys whereas it is vice versa in Department of Mechanical Engineering.

The relationship between seniors and juniors are very good and ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus and the Students involving in those are either suspended or made to discontinue their studies.

I got into this college through management seat. The main reason for choosing this college is that this college has ranked in top colleges in Tamil Nadu. Also it is placed in the NIRF Ranking released by the Government of India.

The facalties available here are good and composed. Some have completed their P.Hd and most of the staffs are doing their P.Hd currently which also helps us in a way that the faculty is more updated in the particular field.
