Best Government Engineering College

There is many problems in college hostel like water and canteen. However students arranging food from outside and there houserent will bre low due to college hostel. All over VGEC is very good government college for engineering for all streams.

Exam structure for all colleges affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is same as there are two semester per year. Total 8 semester course for all Bachelor Degree. There are two exams per semester. mid semester exams conducted by college itself. And End semester exam conducted by GTU and question papers also prepared same for all colleges by GTU.

Placement for mechanical engineering stream is very poor. As most of companies want only diploma holder candidate for the company as they will ready to work with low pay scale. However for Computer and IT engineering there is good placement session conducted in VGEC and many students got good packages.

There are all events celebrated in VGEC like Technical Festival (For College and For GTU) sports week, Safety week, Cultural Program, Navratri Nights, Farewell Function, New Students Orientation programs, Independence day celebration, Republice day celebration etc.

As Vishwakarma Government Engineering College is Government college, There is very nominal fees. There is no fees for girls and for boys, fee structure is max 2500 Rs. per semester. (Fees vary for semesters). There is compulsory exam fee for all students (max. 1000rs). Students also gets scholarship from Private as well as Government resources.

I got 2 scholarships. One is from Central Sector Scholarship which will be given by Central Government (10000 rs per year) and Second one is from private firm(Khooshbu charitable trust) (5000 rs per year)

Campus lifre fo Vishwakarma Government Engineering College is good. In mechanical engineering, there are all boys in the class, Hardly one or two girls take admission in this field per 3 year. However other braches like power electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Electrical Engineering & Electronics and Communicate, There is 40 to:50 % ratio of Girls in class. While in Computer Engineering And Information Technology, there is 70 to 80% ratios of girls in class.

Seniors students are very helpful as they help us to suggest good books and some also help us to find Paying Guest who are from another city. They are very helpful.

I passed 12th with 85% and JEE with 128 marks out of 360. I got 921 rank in Gujarat board. I want to become mechanical engineer So my Choose mechanical engineering stream. My first choise is LD engineering college. By i got admission in Viswakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC)

Faculty of Government Colleges are good as always as there is all Ph.D holder professor conduct all tue lectures. One can get maximum benifit from them if want. All faculties are very supportive and helpful and be ready for students to help them in any matter.
