Remarks
Everything runs smoothly. However, the mess food isn't great
Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are held regularly which helps you be prepared for the end semester exams. UoH is known as a research based university with many of its students inclining towards a PhD. The course is vast and unconventional, it covers texts that aren't too mainstream.
Placement Experience
Placed in one of the Big Fours. Several other companies come to the campus including start ups. There are internships available too.
College Events
College fest called Sukoon is organized every year in the month of April. Apart from this, sports tournaments are also organized. There are film clubs that screen movies in the evenings. Along with this, different departments organize seminars and paper presentations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very menial. Since it's a central government university, education is subsided. If someone cannot afford the fee, there are a number of scholarships available too. The fee breakdown is very transparent. The fee can be paid online/offline. For offline mode, it can be paid via challan.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I didn't avail any scholarships or education loans since the yearly fee was very menial. However hostel is free for students belonging to the reserved categories
Campus Life
Campus life is liberating. There's no curfew on entering the hostels. There's 24*7 security at the doors of both, the campus and hostels. The campus has a health centre built inside where you can consult doctors for free, and medicines are also provided for free. Basic tests such as Hb are also done for free in the campus. Apart from this, there is a gymnasium, basketball court, football court, yoga centre.
Alumni/Alumna
No, I'm not sure of any alumni network. However networking varies from person to person, and you could establish your own network. The seniors are pretty helpful.
Admission
There was a written test post which a rank wise list was prepared. I had to report with my documents. College authorities verified the documents and took a photocopy of each document. There was a waiting list prepared as as well. Students in the waiting list had to report at a specific time.
Faculty
I usually had 3 lectures everyday (2hrs each). It wasn't too hectic for me, personally. The faculty is very well versed in terms of teaching. Most of the professors regularly publish papers in international and national journals. Along with this, they also publish several books.
