Management of college is average. But if you want to pursue graduation in minimum expenses, this is the best place.

The course curriculum and exam structure are well organised and maintained. Every semester has 30 marks sessional and 70 marks exam. One drawback here is that there’s no opportunity for internships and industrial visits. You can be provided theoretical knowledge but gaining practicality is quite difficult.

No opportunities for internships. If you want to gain experience in internships, you have to find them all by yourself. Campus placements opportunities are also not much provided.

Some remarkable and memorable events are celebrated every year here. Filmsaaz, Revrufest, various literary and art fests too are organised. There are various clubs of which you can be part of, singing, drama, literary, music and events are worth joining. Sir Syed day celebration is one of the most popular events of Aligarh Muslim University.

Cash and demand draft is accepted as a mode of payment in college. As per year, fees are very less, you don’t have any issue in arranging them or submitting. There’s no additional cost required in BCom. Although, if you want to be part of various clubs and events, you have to pay minimal fees for that.

Some scholarships are organised for minorities in college. Education loan is not required as of very feasible fees.

Campus life is average. The gender ratio is really good. But women’s college and boys are separated. Sports and extracurricular opportunities are provided from time to time if you have the potential you can really make the best out of them. Also, there’s a dominance of the Muslim population.

College seniors are quite cooperative and helpful. You can participate in various events with them as they will make you more familiar about the norms of college.

I opted for AMU because it was in my hometown and it got to have a prestigious and recognised name. As it is a government college, my B.Com fees for 3 years is mot more than 20000. Initial months at this college were really good, but from the end of the 1st year, several strikes on various issues became usual and hindered our studies.

Only 4 teachers who are PhD holders too have taught us in 3 years. Some of them are really cooperating too. As mentioned above, industrial visits and practically examining the corporate world wasn’t possible here. Only theoretical knowledge can be acquired.
