Remarks
If you want to study engineering or B.Pharm, then dibrugarh university is good. But I studied management and I don't think I had any competition which was kind of boring and at the same time it had its own perks.
Course Curriculum Overview
Apart from the academics, they should also focus on extra curriculars like industrial visits, internships, etc. Exams are conducted on the basis of semester. We had 6 semesters. 2sessional exams in each semester, which would be for 25 marks and there would be 25 marks internals too keeping the attendance in record.
Placement Experience
Firstly, no stipend. Placements and job opportunities are not really good in our department. But if you are studying engineering in dibrugarh university, then there are good internships and placements provided.
College Events
Technical - Auxesis which is organised by engineering students which lasts for around 3 days. Cultural - Ekayan organised by social work students which last for around 2 days. Management - Sanmilan organised by bba and mba students which lasts for around 3 days.
Fees and Financial Aid
Ishanudai provides scholarship to students based on their marks in HS, which is again dependent on the type of course they are studying and also on their financial background. Many students in our university availed this scholarship.
Campus Life
We have versity week, where all kinds of extra curricular activities are organising and students from all the departments take part in it. They organise marriage competition, where we get to see different cultures and their traditions every year.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good inside the campus, especially the girls' hostel. Boys' hostel is also okay except for there is a lot of ragging. Our annual hostel fees was 2200 and monthly we had to pay 1850 for the mess.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, all the alumnis I have met so far have been good and helpful and the seniors too are eagerly ready to help the juniors academically everytime. We also organise alumni meet every year where we get to interact with the seniors and the alumni.
Admission
The institution follows the online admission process and picks the students on the basis of merit list. There are total 40 seats for Bba and 60 for mba. The merit list is again categorised into General/ST/SC/OBC/OBC(ncl). I was 7th in the merit list (general).
Faculty
Most of the Professors are easy to approach in case you need any help. Most of the times, they try to understand the students' problems and help them out. There are also few teachers separately appointed, in case the students the students wanted to talk regarding their other problems.
