One of the best college in Assam

The college is overall very good and it is one of the best institute in Assam. It is advanced not only from educational background but also from cultural activities. All the events are properly held and the environment is very nice and pleasant one. No any negative remark.

The course is overall okay and is CBCS system. The exam structure is also good. There is semester system. 2-3 terminals are held before the semester exam and also class tests are taken. There are CCTV cameras in each examination halls and 3-4 enumerators are given.

Yes there are placements opportunities in the college. But such opportunities are especially given to the professional courses. The college also provides internship. Because I belong to a general course I have not much knowledge in this field.

Various events are celebrated in the college, like most of the events such as puja, Holi, Shankardev and Madhabdev tithi. Besides these, every year a photography competition is also organized by the Department of Mass Communication. The college week is organized every year and various cultural programs helds there among which the cultural rally is the most attractive one where all the departments do their best. Various games and sports competition are also often organized by the Department of Physical education.

Fees structure is medium. For the BPL students the admission fees is low. I actually do not remember the exact fee structure. But the admission fees was probably between 3500 to 5000. The admission process was done annually and form fillup of exam was done semester wise. Also fine was to be paid by the students who had less attendance.

The college students can apply for the UGC Ishaan Uday scholarship, OBC/ST/SC Scholarship, Jindal Scholarship and various other scholarships granted by the government. Besides these the highest marks scorer of all the departments and also the college topper was given scholarship and reward from the college.

For sports or extra curricular activities there are stadiums and also courses such as Physical education, Department of Performing Arts etc. which helps the students in their personal development. Also various inter- department as well as inter college cultural activities or games and sports are often held.

Although I didn't stay in college hostel but I have seen that infrastructure was good and discipline was maintained by every boarders. I stayed in PG near the college. The infrastructure and environment was very nice. There were all the facilities in the PG. The rate was between 1000-1500 according to the rooms.

The senior students were also very good, well mannered, loving and helpful. Most of the seniors were like friend of us. Most of them were very talented and in the inter college competitions held in youth festival, they brought a number of trophies and rewards to the college.

At first form was submitted offline in the college and after that admission was done on the basis of merit list. No interview was taken. The admission process was done in the auditorium. Many of the teachers were present and each of them were doing their individual duties.

All the faculties are very good, kind hearted, loving and take care of all the students. Many of the teachers are strict but also at the same time very friendly and they suggest or advice the students whenever they need. All are well qualified teachers, although some of them are contractual and have less experience but they also treat well and teaches properly.
