Remarks
It is One of the best College in Gujarat after IIT Gandhinagar and NIT Surat. If you have chance or opportunity for the College then you should go for it. It is located in Baroda and baroda have easy connectivity to metro cities like Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course for the all the branches is old and conventional and is not updated since last 20 years. Labs for chemical, electrical, civil and computer are goods but for mechanical engineering they are in bad condition. There is a SIEMENS CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE in mechanical department. There are 8 semesters and each semester have 1 internal and one final exam.
Placement Experience
College does not provide internship facilities. But there is a student committee made by students and one placement officer (professor) which arrenges internship programme for students of companies like Reliance industries and CEAT tyres. Placements are good enough, if you are above 60% aggregate then you have 90% chances that you will get job with max package varying 6-9 lacs and avg package of 4 lacs.
College Events
There are four events celebrated in our College, PRERNA- a social activity event, PARAMARSH- a cultural event, JUNOON- a sport event and the last but not least FOOTPRINTS- a technical event. These all events are organised and managed by students only.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for 1 year is about 9k to 10k which is not expensive. You have to pay this fees in one time installment at the starting of the year which includes free wifi in College and hostel campus, your examination fees and library fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
As fee is not much High, there is no facility for loan. But if you are from reserved category then you can get different scholarships sums upto a ?50000 to ?60000. My one of the friend got the total sum of ?55000.
Campus Life
If you want to become an engineer, a politician or a businessman, you have all the opportunities equal. There are startup committees at College and university level. There are student unions and student parties and every year there is a student election which selects UGS, FGS, FR and DR(student posts- from high to low).
Alumni/Alumna
Our department doesn't have alumini but computer department has. They developed their labs and department nicely. Senior of all the departments are very useful and friendly. There is no ragging at all by seniors.
Admission
The BE admissions are made through ACPC rank and the Mtech addmissions are based on the rank you got in GATE exam. After getting the allotment in ACPC, you have to go to College for the confirmation of the admission.
Faculty
The faculties are good educated and friendly but there are some exceptions. Some of the facilities are passed out Mtech and PhD from IITs. But the main thing you will get is their explanation techniques and deep knowledge which is useful to you throughout your life.
