Entrance Preview
GMAT; Reputation of the institute & professors was the first thing I was looking for. In addition, Affordability vis-a-vis international institutes played an important role in my decision.
Course Curriculum Overview
1 year is divided into 5 terms. First, two terms had core subjects such as Financial Accounting, Marketing, Operations, Organization Behavior, etc. The third term is the International immersion. The fourth and fifth term has a wide variety of electives like Managing Creativity, Merger and Acquisitions, Quality Management, International Financial Management, etc.
Internships Opportunities
As most of the participants have worked for more than 9-10 years, For this course, we don't look for internships. Therefore it is not a factor here. However, if one requires, we have industry projects that we can do. We don't charge companies for that. Our focus with this is to be able to help small and medium enterprises without any monetary favor.
Placement Experience
A wide variety of companies come to campus. The average salary offered is 25+ Lakh. Companies like Accenture, Bain, Tata Telecom, Tata Capital, BCG, Bank of America, Aditya Birla Group, and the list go on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is expensive in comparison to other MBA programs in India. at 25 Lakhs it is in fact the most expensive. However, as it is compared with other international institutes, it is one of the most cost-effective destinations.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a few scholarships available for international students. ITEC and other European scholarships have been availed in the past. Most of the students fund the education with the loans anyway which is very easy to get for IIMA students. SO this is not a big factor here.
Campus Life
With 20% of females, students are from 5-6 nationalities. more than half of the students have 3+ years of international work experience at various international locations like South Africa, Canada, USA, Germany, France, UK, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Dormitories are Air-conditioned and equipped with full facility. Married students are also given an option to live in Married Housing accommodations. Single students dining facility is available. which is considered ok.
Alumni/Alumna
The best you can get in India. Seniors are well placed across the industry domains. Many of them occupy C-level positions in India and abroad. as they say, more than 30% of CEOs in India are from IIMA.
Exam Structure
Most of the exams are case-based. Students are given cases and they are supposed to analyze that and write an assessment or answer given questions within 2-3 hours.
Faculty
The faculty is world-class and is a major contributor towards making IIMA the best in India and one of the bests in the world. All of them are at min. Ph.D. in their subjects and have tremendous industry experience. In fact, many of them have had worked in govt. commit
