Remarks
The academics and education are good in our College but the social life in campus is not so good. The campus is too small for a College. Overall the rating is about 6 out of 10. But in case of placements and internships the College is best in Jaipur.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for B.Tech is best in Rajasthan Technical University all over the India and our College is affiliated to it. Though there are some subjects which are of no use but overall the course curriculum is best.
Placement Experience
Poornima College of Engineering has four branches all over Jaipur. The placement opportunities provided by Poornima is good as compared to other Colleges in Rajasthan. We had the largest number of placements in Jaipur last year with highest package of 10 LPA and average of 1.8-2.5 LPA.
College Events
We have many events and events celebrated all over the year. There is a technical event for first year called Aadhar. In this the students make working science models. After this we have debate competitions and an Annual fest. This year in January we had enjoyed a lot in the Annual fest of our College. Many celebrities like DJ Nina Suerte, King Rocco etc were main attractions in our fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of all the RTU affiliated Colleges is same all over Rajasthan. The fees structure is most feasible than any other private College or NIT's or IIT's. You can get extra scholarship benefits too of you are eligible. Normally the fees is about 48000 per semester and after the TFWS scholarship it is about 13000 per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship provided in RTU affiliated Colleges is called TFWS. Under this scheme 10 students from every branch are selected for scholarship and the have to pay only their tution fees which is only 25% of their total fees.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is about 65-35. We had official fresher parties, events, competitions etc. We enjoyed a lot in technical fest of College because in this we cooperated with seniors. The labs are the best in Poornima College of Engineering in whole Jaipur other than NIT.
Hostel Facilities
The College hostel is not so good that's why I have opted for a private hostel or PG. I pay 5500 per month to the PG owner and get all the facilities provided by College hostel. Pg is cheaper than College hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a group running in our College called Poornima Alumni Association. This group keeps interacting with the alumni of our College. This helps in getting a boost in getting internships or placement in respective companies. We have alumni meet in our College every year which is an unique step to get in contact with every alumni.
Admission
I took admission in this College through REAP Merit list. I had only one course option and I opted for it in Computer Science field. REAP stands for Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process. I filled the Colleges of my choice and this College was provided to me.
Faculty
All the faculties in our College have a masters degree and it is a compulsion to have a masters degree to teach B.Tech students. The faculties are pretty good and qualified in our College as compared to other local Colleges in Jaipur.
