Good placements and tension free curriculum

If you want to study for any other competitive exams,in parallel with getting a graduate degree,this is the apt place for you.There are many students who prepare for IES, gate,upsc and civil services examinations without causing much trouble to their academics as there is no problem of attendance in our college.

The curriculum is very flexible,you can participate in any other activities like sports,cultural,do research works without causing any disturbance to your academics. The exam pattern is same as all the other colleges,we have mid terms and end terms and for labs we have only a final viva(no externals and internals)

Keeping in mind the placement scenario of our institute,it is nothing wrong to say that more than 90% of our batch will be placed by the end of this semester. We have equal opportunities in software sector,analytics sector and core sector. The top company for our course is TATA STEEL which gives a CTC of 11.98 lpa and the average package would be around 5.5 lpa

We have three fests mainly 1. Sports fest (URJA) 2. Techno Management fest (OJASS) 3. Cultural fest (CULFEST) The participation in Ojass is the biggest as it is east India's second largest fest and apart from that all the other fests also are conducted on a large scale with outside participation of around 2-4 people from other colleges.

It's a little expensive if you dont have fee reimbursement.But incase of fee reimbursement you need to pay only mess fee or in some cases 1/3rd of the total fee so it's not big a deal for many students.

we have a sbi branch located inside the college and we need to open an account at the time of admission.They provide with good loan facilities for all the students who want to apply for loan. There are some scholarships like malli mastan babu scholarship which is given to people who are good in both sports and academics.

There are many clubs and technical teams for the overall development of the students. 1. FACES- fine arts clubs 2. NSS- National Service Scheme 3. INNOVATION HUB 4. DAKSH- Off road racing team 5. DRIFT- F1 Racing 6. REVANTA/RAYS - Solar vehicle teams 7. PHOENIX - R-C plane

Honestly speaking our campus doesn't score that good in infrastructure. But hostels are good, everyone is provided with single rooms with LAN facility The quality of food is also good but it's not worth the 16000 we are paying.Classrooms and labs are old but as the new academic building is under construction this won't be a problem for further generations.

We have a huge alumni network right from 1969 batch and we have alumni meet every year held in january in which our alumni from different batches come and relive their college days.And every year in November we have convocation in which the previous year passed out seniors come for their graduation ceremony.

I had to choose between NIT Jamshedpur and NIT Patna but I Choose NIT JSR because of it's placement scenario.At the time of my admission,our college was ranked third in placements among all N.I.Ts and I'm thankful that I Choose this institute.

Teachers in our branch are well competent and extremely helpful when it comes to our project work.Though the syllabus is very old,our professors are taking some measures such as teaching MATLAB,SIMULINK etc to prepare ourselves for the competitive world
