Our college has produced many IAS,Doctors,Scientists.The college which has produced KPS Gill,Sahir Ludhianvi,Satish Dhawan will always have positive remarks.Another things about my college is that it is one of the top colleges in Punjab state.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure of Bcom is theoretical and practical.Bcom is quite interesting and chilling course.It do not adds stress on you.One can do Bcom easily but main requirement for this is that basics of +1 and +2 should be very clear.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities are good but not that much in our college but companies visit for internship.Various companies visited in our college are Wipro,IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.Average annual stipend is 20,00,000.
College Events
Our College celebrates Birth Anniversary of Great poet Sahir Ludhianvi,Youth Festival,Lohri function,International Commerce Day,Alumni Meet etc.The name of auditorium in my college is on Sahir Ludhianvi and he was the student of my college.Hir Birth Anniversary is celebrated every year on large scale.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible.Fee structure for Bcom is approximately 15000 annualy.One of the important attracting factor of this college is that the fee structure of courses is quite affordable.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is scholarship facility for minority students,Dr. Ambedkar scheme,National Scholarship by centre govt,Post Matric Scholarship scheme.There is seperate National Laon Scholarship for those who score 50% or more on the basis of merit and whose parents income is less than 25000.
Campus Life
Gender ratio of our college is 50-50.Workshops are often organised in our college on Entrepreneurship,Stock Market etc.Various clubs and associations are also there in our college like Red Cross Society,NSS,Red Ribbon Club,Youth Service Club etc.Our college is ragging free.Sports Meet is organised every year in the college which covers athletics,Cycling etc.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for Hostel and hostel infrastructure is quite satisfactory as per govt hostel.Boys Hostel has almost 51 rooms and every room is 3 seater.There is separate hostel for boys and girls.Hostel has Mess facility,TV Room,proper drinking water etc.
Alumni/Alumna
We have had interaction with one of the alumi of our college named Shivdular Singh Dhillon who is current DC of Amritsar,Punjab.Interaction with him has affected us in starting preparation for UPSC.Even our seniors are also helpful with us.
Admission
The selection process of my Bcom course was on merit basis.I Choose Bcom over other courses because of my interest in business line and our family business also.The overall percentage for getting admission in bcom must be above 90% in 10+2.
Faculty
Faculty of our college is well educated and mostly Phd holders.Teachers of our college adds up extra creation in the studies which is quite interesting and enjoyable.Many of the teachers have wrote their books also.
