Remarks
Students were very bright and talented in our college. Currently, many of our seniours and batchmates are in very good positions like some are in PSU's, some became an Ies officer, etc. But the faculty was not good. But overall environment was very poaitive in our college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I pursued btech in electrical engineering branch. In the starting the course structure seems to be very complicated to me, as in first semeter I have to study 6 different subjects along with labworks, lots of assignments,viva-voce, practical exam, etc. Basically, the course structure in first year i.e. first 2 semesters mainly focused on rebuilding the old basic concepts in subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics. From second year onwards, the course structure purely focuses on electrical emgineering branch subjects which includes Electrical machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Network Analysis, Control System, Digital & Analog Electronics, etc. Along with these subjects, we have to complete lots of filework, project work, assignments, presentarions, etc. In the last year of my btech course, the syllabus was a bit lighter than first 3 years, but I have to prepare major project on electrical engineering to check what I have learned in my whole btech course and thus to succesfully complete my btech course.
Placement Experience
Campus placement was very poor in my college. In my last semeter of btech, only one company came to my college with the stipend of 2.5 lakh of annual package which selects only one student from electrical branch. No other companies visited my college.
College Events
We have one cultural event named "Umang" in which students we have events like singing, dancing, poetry, play, stunts, etc. Along with these, we also had technical fest every year in which we had events likes robotics, etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a Government funded college, the Fee structure is very feasible. My per year btech fees was 42,000 only, i.e. total of 1 lakh 68 thousand rupees only in full 4 year course. Also there was a facility of fee- waiver seat quota per branch,if you belong to economically weaker section. The quota is limited to 2-3 seats per branch. Along with this, we also had a Uttar Pradesh scholarship program in which students were given approx 56,000 per year i.e. total of Rs.2,24,000 only in full 4 year course by the government of Uttar Pradesh.
Campus Life
Labs were quiet good with every neccessary machines, tools, safety machines and tools, proper guidance from labworkers. Workshop is one of the best workshops in allahabad. In my college their in no racial or religion or caste or caste problems. We all are equal. We all share equal rights irrespective of caste, religion, sex, race, etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, our seniours were basically our role models, From them we acknowledge ourselves with information related to semester exams or current job prospectives, books, study materials, etc. Alumni network is not a famois word for my college. But our senious are very hardworking, labourious which insisted us to study and score well in examinations.
Admission
After completing my school, I was very keen to pursue engineering course fromma reputed college. So, I prepared for IIT/bitsat/upsee entrance examinations. In the year 2013, I secured good rank in UPSEE exam. Then I had undergone counselling and other admission related formalities. I preferentially opted for IERT, Allahabad as it is my hometown. Finally, I got admission and successfully completed btech 4year degree course in Electrical Engineering branch.
Faculty
My Faculty during my entire 4 year degree course was a mixed bunch of grapes, sometimes sour or sometimes sweet or even sometimes bitter too. We had faced some very reputed and talented teachers in subjects Electrical machines, physics, power systems but on the other hand we also had some weak ones like in power electronics, signal & systems and control systems.
