College review

The college is started with an aim of providing the best technical education to rural talented people. And it is excelling in it. The only negative is that the number of faculty are less. And among the many postives the remarkable one is that the college provides a free laptop to each and ever student. The number of students are arround 8000.

The curriculum is designed as,first two years known as PUC are taught the CBSE class 11 and 12 syllabus. In next 4 years first two years are taught the core subjects of the respective engineering branches and the next two years are given to students either to do the projects or internships or study the electivie subjects. We call this engineering curriculum as 2+2.

Placement and job opportunities are nice. Every year some top companies like TCS, tech Mahindra, etc comes to college to recruit the students. And the companies offer internships too. In college students are allowed to work under some faculty as internship.

The major fests celebrated here are TECKZITE AND CYGNUS. TECKZITE is a national level technical fest which is celebrated in the mid February every year, it is the biggest rural techfest in India. Cygnus is a cultural fest of the college. It is celebrated with a strength of arround 8000 students in the college, a whole new experience for everyone,every year.

Fee is very feasable. In the total 6 years first two years fee is 36000+36000 and the next four years the fees is 4*40000. But all the students here study with the scholarships provided by the government of Andhra Pradesh. All the students in the college gets this scholarship.

Government of Andhra Pradesh provides scholarships to every student in the college. Based in the caste reservation criteria the scholarships are offered. Sc,St,BC students are offered almost all the college fee but some fee has to paid by them. OC students are given less scholarships comparably but the fee they had to pay after receiving the scholarship is very low.

We have a cricket ground, baskeball court, A yoga hall and an indoor stadium for sports. In yoga there are approximately 200 national level gold medals in the span of 10 years.Labs are of high quality and college colloborates with some tech companies to set up the high tech labs where cutting edge researches can be done.

The college is very young. It was established in 2008.so the alumni network is not so strong. The first alumni meet has happened recently. The seniors and alumni are very supportive and helping. When we approach any senior with our problem they will definitely help us to solve that problem.

Based on 10 th class merit, top one percent of the state are offered admission for 6 year integrated B.Tech programme in our college. It offers PUC(pre university course)+ B.Tech for 6 years straight after 10th class.

Most of the faculty are IIT Graduates. But some of the non IITian faculty are also there. The quality of teaching is very good.but the faculty are not in required number. We have shortage of faculty here. Here very less numbere of senior faculty are there.
